<p>The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project quality standards, reviewing and implementing quality procedures, and supporting project delivery in accordance with Ashghal requirements. Must be able to produce various progress metrics and reports including S-Curve.
Planning and system support for Shutdown activities through close liaison with the Shutdown Team, Maintenance and Operations group.

<p>Contract Administrator – Qatar
CLIENT
Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator from the energy industry to join them in Doha, Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advising and supporting the Project Management team on the administration of the contract, on all contractual matters and communications, ensuring that they are in accordance with the approved procedures and policies for the project
• Ensuring that notifications are timely and properly submitted in writing as per the contract and within the time bars agreed in the contract
• Maintaining and preparing or reviewing meeting minutes, ensuring that they are signed by all parties
• Ensuring that the knowledge regarding all contracts is readily available to the site staff, so that questions regarding such contracts can be replied to
• Preparing and maintaining claims including substantiation
• Agreeing and submitting Applications for Payment and following up all administration regarding payments, and paying the subcontractors on time
• Advising the Project Manager and site staff on any contractual insurance related matters
• Advising site technical staff on the contractual wording of Technical Query Reports
• Assisting the Project Manager with the handover of works to the client, and arranging the final account so that these are achieved in accordance with the contract conditions</p><p>PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Contract Engineer/Administrator or Cost Engineer
• History of working on significant industrial or energy construction projects
• Strong analytical and logical skills
• Computer literate, especially with MS Office software
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
• Candidates currently based in Qatar will be given preference</p>
<p>Contracts & Commercial Manager – Qatar
CLIENT
Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a bilingual Arabic- and English-speaking Contracts & Commercial Manager from the energy industry to join them in Doha, Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing, assisting in negotiating and administering the various contracts
• Reviewing all contractual notices of claims and providing contractual advice
• Interacting with the clients, contractors, vendors and consultants in respect to all contractual matters
• Reviewing tender documents and draft contract documents prepared by others to verify lack of ambiguity and conflicts as well as compliance with the client’s contract forms and related procedures
• Investigating potential contractual problems and recommending corrective action
• Preparing key contractual correspondence and maintaining records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters
• Facilitating the preparation of contract changes and overseeing the preparation of the relevant variation orders by the cost consultant
• Reviewing any claims against the client in accordance with the provisions of the relevant contracts and taking the lead in preparing the necessary responses along with any counterclaims
• Ensuring that all warranties, bonds, insurances, securities, etc. are in place and are fully compliant with the relevant contractual provisions
• Drafting contract amendments for consultants and contractors as necessary for client approval
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress reports
• Managing a team of contract administrators</p><p>PROFILE
• University degree in an engineering field or quantity surveying is essential
• At least 10 years’ experience in Contract Administration and Quantity Surveying
• Preferably have experience in the energy or power industry
• Strong technical knowledge of FIDIC contracts
• Due to our client’s ongoing commitment to Qatarization, only Qatari nationals will be selected at this time
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is essential</p>
