Corporate Communications and Content Specialist<br>Role Summary Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) is seeking an experienced and versatile Corporate Communications and Content Specialist to join its Marketing & Communications Department in Doha. The role will support a wide range of corporate and strategic communication activities across GORD and its various programs, centers and initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Director, senior management, technical teams and external stakeholders to transform complex information into clear, accurate and engaging communications.<br>This is a role for someone who combines strong writing and research skills with excellent organization, judgment and project ownership. Success in the position means being able to understand subjects quickly, retrieve and organize information effectively, manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, and consistently deliver high-quality materials with minimal supervision. The role covers corporate communications, executive content, media relations, presentations and proposals, organizational reporting, events, digital content and knowledge management.<br>Responsibilities Draft, edit and coordinate press releases, media statements, press kits and other PR materials in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Support media relations activities, including media pitching, distribution, coverage monitoring and preparation of media clipping and coverage reports. Develop executive and corporate communications, including speeches, forewords, leadership messages, corporate letters and strategic correspondence. Prepare and refine presentations, proposals, project pitches, award nominations, reports and other strategic communication materials. Develop content for corporate profiles, brochures, flyers, roll-ups, exhibition materials, websites and other institutional communication channels. Review and enhance corporate video scripts and other audiovisual communication content. Support communications requirements for conferences, exhibitions, ceremonies, partnerships, MoUs and strategic events, including coordination with internal teams and external organizers. Research and compile organizational information, achievements, historical projects, previous announcements and relevant supporting material for communication projects. Maintain and continuously improve the department's communications archive and knowledge base, ensuring that previous projects, media materials, presentations, reports and key organizational information can be retrieved efficiently. Support the preparation of annual, quarterly and project-specific communications reports, including departmental progress reports and post-event reports. Develop and coordinate corporate newsletters, news digests and mass email communications. Maintain and periodically update key corporate communication materials, including organizational boilerplates, corporate presentations and institutional profiles. Monitor relevant developments in sustainability, climate action, carbon markets, technology, engineering and innovation to identify potential communication opportunities. Use AI and digital productivity tools effectively for research, content development, analysis, information organization and communication workflows while maintaining strong editorial judgment, fact-checking and quality control. Coordinate Arabic and English communication materials and ensure consistency, accuracy and quality across both languages. Undertake other corporate communication assignments and strategic projects as required by the Marketing & Communications Department.<br>Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Media, Business or a related discipline.7+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, content development or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic. Demonstrated ability to write and edit high-quality corporate and executive-level content. Strong research skills and the ability to understand, structure and communicate complex or technical information. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, with the ability to develop clear, professional and persuasive presentations. Experience preparing corporate reports, proposals, presentations, press materials or executive communications. Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage several assignments and deadlines simultaneously. High attention to detail and strong editorial judgment. Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments and identify information or actions required to complete a task. Confidence working with senior management, technical teams, external partners, media representatives and other stakeholders. Strong proficiency with AI-enabled tools and modern digital productivity platforms, with an understanding of how AI can support communications, research and knowledge management. Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and familiarity with website content management systems would be an advantage. Previous exposure to sustainability, climate action, ESG, carbon markets, engineering, technology or innovation would be considered an advantage. Experience working in Qatar or the GCC would be an advantage.
