<span><br>JOB SUMMARY<br>Functions as the strategic business leader of the property’s food and beverage/culinary operation, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service and Banquets/Catering, where applicable. Position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives. The position ensures the food and beverage/culinary operation meets the brand’s target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the department. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organised Receiving Officer to join our team and ensure that all deliveries entering the hotel are received, inspected, recorded and distributed accurately and efficiently.<br><br>If you have a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and previous experience in hotel receiving or hospitality operations, we’d love to hear from you.<br><br>What You’ll Be Doing:<br><br> Receive and inspect all deliveries entering the hotel, ensuring that quantities, quality, specifications and condition meet the requirements of the Purchase Order and delivery documentation. Check all deliveries against the relevant Purchase Order and delivery note, identifying and reporting any shortages, damages, discrepancies or incorrect items. Inspect food and beverage deliveries for freshness, quality, quantity, weight and temperature, ensuring compliance with the hotel's food safety and hygiene standards. Refuse or return damaged, unacceptable, expired or incorrect goods and ensure that the appropriate return and credit documentation is completed. Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, damaged goods, product availability and replacement items. Communicate any missing, delayed or unavailable items promptly to the relevant departments and monitor delivery-related communication channels. Ensure food deliveries are correctly segregated and safely distributed to the relevant kitchens, refrigerators, freezers and storage areas. Receive and stage non-F&B deliveries by department, ensuring that goods are appropriately labelled, safely stored and collected by the relevant departments in a timely manner. Process all delivery notes, invoices, return-to-supplier documents and credit documentation accurately and ensure all receiving transactions are completed daily in the Adaco purchasing system. Verify that quantities and prices on Purchase Orders and invoices match the physical delivery and report any discrepancies to the relevant Cost Controller, Purchasing team or senior team members. Monitor and follow up on missing deliveries, outstanding deliveries and open Purchase Orders on a daily basis. Maintain accurate records of supplier issues and report recurring concerns to the relevant senior team members. Ensure that the loading bay, receiving areas and all working spaces are clean, organised, clear and tidy throughout the day. Ensure that all relevant work surfaces and equipment are cleaned and sanitised in accordance with food safety and hygiene guidelines. Assist the Stores team with the collection and storage of beverage deliveries in the cellar, ensuring that kegs and other beverage products are stored safely and neatly. Ensure that all receiving equipment and working areas are clean, operational and ready for the next working day.
