Painting/Coating certification from a recognized organization such as NACE, TWI, or equivalent. NACE Level II or BGAS-CSWIP Grade II certification is mandatory.<br><br>Experience<br><br>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Downstream Industry. Experience with international consultancy companies, third-party inspection/certification companies, EPIC contractors, or end users involved in major project execution is essential.<br><br>Primary Duties And Responsibilities<br><br>Ensure that the quality requirements for fabrication, construction, and installation activities, as detailed in approved Quality Control procedures and plans, are implemented in accordance with approved project documents. Ensure that Contractors, Subcontractors, and Vendors have competent resources, apply internationally accepted practices, and deliver products that comply with corporate and project quality requirements. Monitor all site and fabrication yard coating activities and ensure all welded joints are coated in accordance with approved standards and specifications. Carry out systematic inspections at each stage of surface preparation, painting, wrapping, and repair activities. Witness painter and blaster qualification tests conducted by paint manufacturers and evaluate associated test results. Verify implementation of the approved inspection system for surface preparation, painting, and wrapping activities through established Hold Points within the work schedule. Ensure work does not proceed beyond Hold Points without formal approval from the responsible Project Engineer. Monitor in-process inspections of offshore steel structure fabrication and topside facility construction at contractor fabrication yards and verify compliance with corporate standards, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards. Report daily to the QA/QC Engineer and advise on contractor compliance with contractual procedures, specifications, quality standards, and any issues affecting quality performance. Ensure coating inspection activities are performed in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and relevant international standards. Review coating procedures, method statements, quality records, and inspection reports for compliance with project requirements. Witness and verify environmental condition measurements, surface preparation inspections, coating application inspections, dry film thickness (DFT) measurements, adhesion testing, holiday testing, and coating repair inspections. Verify that painting and coating materials are stored, handled, and applied according to manufacturer recommendations and project specifications. Monitor and verify contractor compliance with quality requirements for protective coating systems applied to onshore and offshore facilities. Ensure all inspection records, reports, and quality documentation are completed accurately and maintained in accordance with project quality requirements. Identify quality issues and non-conformances and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Participate in site audits, surveillance activities, and quality assessments as required. Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements during all coating inspection activities.

In this role, you will lead the design and review of a wide range of structures, including bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings and structures. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated structural designs for major infrastructure projects.</p><p>What You ll Be Doing</p><ul><li>Leading the detailed structural design of bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings/structures.</li><li>Providing hands-on supervision for the production of design drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications.</li><li>Ensuring quality assurance of structural design deliverables prior to formal client submissions.</li><li>Actively coordinating with other technical disciplines to produce well-coordinated designs that satisfy functionality, serviceability, and constructability requirements and provide clash-free configurations.</li><li>Tracking the progress of assigned design tasks and reporting status to the Design Manager and Project Managers, resolving any issues that may arise during design development.</li><li>Supporting other engineering activities as required by the Lead Engineer or Design Manager.</li><li>Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.</li><li>Working in a self-motivated manner and requiring minimal supervision on assigned tasks.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.</li><li>10 years of related work experience, with demonstrable hands-on experience in the structural design of bridges and related structures.</li><li>Strong proficiency with structural and bridge design software, including: Midas Civil CSi Bridge SAP2000 Structural Bridge Design (Autodesk) IDEA StatiCa AutoCAD Bentley RAM (connections/elements)</li><li>In-depth knowledge of relevant design codes and standards, including: Client-related structural design guidelines and Interim Advice Notes Eurocode British Standards AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications</li><li>Business-level English language skills sufficient to produce well-structured technical reports with minimal need for grammatical corrections and to communicate clearly in verbal discussions.</li><li>UPDA (MME) registration in Qatar, or eligibility and ability to obtain registration within 6 months of onboarding.</li><li>Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred.</li><li>Possession of internationally recognized engineering licenses such as PE, SE, CEng, or PEng is highly preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Revit or other BIM tools for structural coordination.</li><li>Native-level English speaking and writing skills.</li></ul><p></p></section>
