Additionally, a military background and working knowledge of; US Army environmental regulations, safety and health regulations, and environmental guidance documents are beneficial. College level environmental related courses preferred. Certification: 40-hour or 24-hour HAZWOPER certification is desirable. MUST BE FULENT AND LITERATE IN ENGLISH at a level to the extent of reading and understanding written orders, training instructions and manuals, composing reports, conveying complete information and conversing with US Military (Army) and contracting personnel. Must be able to obtain and maintain local driver’s license Preferred-Associates Degree in environmental, safety, health, or related discipline. Or, combination advanced education and four years’ experience. CFR 1926 OSHA 30-hour construction course required. NEBOSH Training/certification is a plus. JOB PURPOSEEnsure efficient, safe, and accurate warehousing operations and maintain inventory integrity while perform clerical duties. Safely manage chemicals to eliminate risks and comply with safety and regulatory standards<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESMaterial Receiving & Inspection Verify received materials against relevant documentation to ensure compliance with company requirements. Conduct physical inspections of materials to identify any breakages or damages, maintaining quality control for all received items. Utilize inspection tools (e.g., caliper, micrometer) to verify dimensions and compliance with specifications. Identify defects, initiate material discrepancy reports, and actively participate in resolving discrepancies. Confirm that delivered items are accompanied by applicable delivery notes, packing lists, and other necessary documents; cross-verify these against CAPS/MSDS online systems for approvals (such as MTC, SDS, COA Certificates, etc.). Label received chemicals with hazard placards and details. Manage the receipt and handling of cylinders in designated areas, communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies, reorganize empty cylinders, and follow up on their return to suppliers. For materials with shelf life, ensure reasonable shelf life upon receipt and annotate relevant information in the system. Uphold timely and accurate receiving, inspection, and documentation processes for all deliveries. Coordinate with local freight forwarders I contractor Isuppliers regarding daily material deliveries. Material Storing/Binning and Issuing Refer to inbound documents to accurately locate appropriate storage locations, bays, or bins. Assess the nature of products to arrange assistance from forklift operators, and organize manpower and equipment as required. Affix correct labels to cartons and pallets, and complete required system transactions efficiently to ensure accurate identification and tracking. Ensure that all materials are properly preserved, tagged, labelled, and stored securely in designated bins or storage areas. Adhere to storage and preservation requirements as outlined in MM or as recommended by the end user or supplier. Review material request forms/issue slips from user departments to ensure all required information is complete and accurate prior to issuance. Locate requested materials physically, confirm their accuracy and integrity with the requester, and tag the materials for issuance. Update transactions in the system, annotate the relevant document number, and file documents appropriately in designated files. Maintain inventory control records for all materials and stock stored within the warehouse. Document movements of both incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accurate records. Notify the supervisor after binning if storage locations change because of overflow and confirm updates to the relevant section. Housekeeping and Store Maintenance Ensure storeroom premises are maintained in a neat and in order. Ensure adherence of established safety standards of storeroom management. Operate lifts, hand trucks and jacks to unload, transport and store supplies, as required. <p>Overview Environmental Specialists assists in developing/improving Environmental Programs.
