<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <strong>Primary Purpose of the Job</strong><br><p>• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams and peers to provide expert geophysical support for exploration activities and studies across QatarEnergy’s International non-operated ventures (NOJV)<br>• Activities will include new venture opportunity screening, Asset prospect &amp; lead evaluation, risking and volumetric assessments leading to portfolio ranking and high-grading for drill-readiness, Exploration and Appraisal drilling preparation &amp; monitoring, perform seismic studies with oversight on all geophysical operations (acquisition, processing, well seismic) and integrated geoscience studies to QAQC Operator’s work supporting Venture decisions and seeking QatarEnergy Management approval</p><br><p>• Serve as a technical advisor to Management on complex geophysical and subsurface problems and provide appropriate cost effective and timely solutions<br>• Additional key responsibilities include NOJV Asset Management such as support of submission of Annual Business Plans, Scorecards, upkeep of Venture Risk registers, timely update of Senior Management on TCM and OCM Asset recommendations and influencing the Operators’ plans to align with QatarEnergy’s preferred position, specifically on synergies and cost savings where applicable</p><br><p>• Coordination and representation of the company in all technical meetings, ownership of the minutes documenting QatarEnergy’s position, fostering respectful communication and knowledge exchange and providing support for continuous improvement to the assets/regions assigned</p><br> <br><strong>Required Experience and Skills</strong><br><p>• Explorer with min 15 years’ experience within International Exploration and New Ventures in International Oil &amp; Gas Companies (IOCs)</p><br><p>• Proven track record of seismic interpretation, Quantitative Interpretation methods (including AVO analysis, Rock Physics and Seismic Inversion) required for prospect maturation, geologic risking and resource volume estimation for exploration and appraisal projects<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, projects and ventures<br>• A keen explorer who enjoys working with a close team of professionals to mature exploration projects and provide clear recommendations to the company and JV<br>• An ability to energize the team and to mentor younger staff as well as integration with other disciplines<br>• Demonstrable experience in oil and gas exploration projects in a wide range of sedimentary basins and tectonic settings globally, pre and post salt basins, basin and play led exploration from inception to prospect generation and drill-ready well locations<br>• Must be able to work in a non-operated capacity demonstrating communication skills fundamental to preserving credibility and influencing QatarEnergy’s operating JV partners in support of QatarEnergy’s Strategic Goals<br>• Experience in Non-Operated Joint ventures with multiple IOCs is required<br>• Advanced or Expert Software Proficiency: Petrel Suite including QI modules, GeoX, Hampson-Russel necessary. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities by Dimensions:</strong></p><p><strong>A. Shareholder &amp; Financial:</strong> Coordinate with the Head of Enterprise Architecture to provide architectural recommendations that fall inline with the Group s overall strategy and vision.</p><p><strong>B.Customer (Internal &amp; External):</strong> Meet with internal managers and project owners to understand and document their requirements prior to providing suitable solutions. Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments, units and vendors to achieve the Group s goals/ objectives.</p><p><strong>C.Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):</strong> Develop and deliver against the organization s strategy and successfully implement Infrastructure Architecture through active engagement delivery and investment programs. Use industry standard architecture methodologies to successfully implement and grow the Infrastructure Architecture of the bank. Design and Build an up to date Infrastructure Architecture to ensure smooth and seamless propagation of data between systems and subsystems. Cover all internal systems as well as their dependence on multiple vendor products and services. Propose new enterprise standards based on business need, IT need and technology advances. Assist project teams to implement the standards into business applications. Employ and enforce IT industry standards such as ITIL. Performs architecture reviews with infrastructure teams, Internal Risk management (IRM) and audit teams to ensure adherence to standards, information risk management policies. Work closely with network and infrastructure teams, and project teams to understand their needs and ensure the best enterprise standard is implemented. Identify gaps in the Corporate Information/Data Model and address them actively in collaboration with the business support teams. Maintains a technology watch to identify emerging technologies that are relevant to the line of business. Builds awareness of key emerging technologies and promotes to the business in order to address their issues. Lead the preparation and maintenance of documentation and standards for the different activities and systems user guides as per the overall documentation policy. Ensure that design and development standards are integrated with the Group s governance framework. Ensure compliance and adherence to existing standards and policies in regards to IT security, internet and VPN security, and BCP and disaster recovery. Carry out requirements as directly assigned by the Head of IT Enterprise Architecture and in accordance with the overall business plan.</p><p><strong>D.Learning &amp; Knowledge:</strong> Understand user requirements and existing systems in order to provide the proper solutions by enhancing the existing systems or providing new systems. Strong knowledge of infrastructure architecture and limitations in deciding on methods of problem solving which may impact overall resource availability and time to deliver changes. Perform careful analysis to ensure changes are in congruence with the Group s long term planning and approved strategy. Initiate regular meetings which aim to add value by discussing progress, problems, and any other issues of concern. برنامج العلوم السياسية والعلاقات الدولية، أحد برامج كلية العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية بمعهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا، إلى تكوين جيل جديد من المتخصصين العرب في العلوم السياسية قادرين على إنتاج معرفة معبرة عن المنطقة ومنها ولأجلها، والانخراط في حوار نقدي مباشر مع النقاشات النظرية والمقاربات المنهجية في هذا الحقل المعرفي عالميًا. لا يقتصر نهج البرنامج مع طرق التدريس في الجامعات العالمية المرموقة فحسب، بل يشمل أيضًا بُعدًا مميزًا يضم الإسهامات والمضامين والاهتمامات العربية. يجسد نهج البرنامج في التدريس والتعلم هدف معهد الدوحة للدراسات العليا المتمثل في دمج البحث في التعليم والتعلم. ولتحقيق ذلك يعمل البرنامج على استقطاب أساتذة متمكنين لهم خبرة في التدريس وفي البحث العلمي والنشر في كبريات الدوريات الدولية المتخصصة. إذ يتوقع من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في البرنامج تقديم مساهمات فعالة وأبحاث علمية رفيعة المستوى، والحرص على نقل خبراتهم ومهاراتهم البحثية إلى الطلبة، وتعزيز التعاون العلمي مع زملائهم داخل المعهد وخارجه، بما يسهم في إثراء المعرفة وتطوير الحقل العلمي. كما يتوقع منهم المشاركة في مراجعة نقدية مستمرة للعلوم السياسية والعلاقات الدولية والنظريات السائدة فيها، وهو توجه يشجعه البرنامج في إطار سعيه إلى تقديم إسهامات علمية أصيلة ومبتكرة. ويولي البرنامج اهتمامًا خاصًا برصد ومعالجة
