Mentor and guide junior/mid-level engineers; review code, provide technical feedback, and accelerate the team's LLM engineering capabilities. Partner directly with the R&D Director to evaluate emerging technologies, shape the team's technical roadmap, and present recommendations with trade-off analysis. Conversational AI & Chatbot Development Lead the design and delivery of multi-channel chatbots (web, Whats App, app) using AWS Lex, Bedrock, and API Gateway integrated with Claude or other LLMs. Own complex dialogue system challenges: multi-turn reasoning, context persistence, intent disambiguation, and graceful fallback strategies. Integrate chatbots with Snoonu's backend services (order management, CRM, logistics APIs) via secure, scalable RESTful/event-driven patterns. Drive LLM evaluation cycles — benchmark model versions, prompt strategies, and RAG configurations against production quality and cost targets. Agentic AI Pipelines Architect Agentic AI systems that encode Snoonu SOPs as autonomous, multi-step workflows for customer support, order verification, and logistics operations. Select and govern the right orchestration approach (Lang Graph, Crew AI, Bedrock Agents, Step Functions) per use case — with a clear rationale on reliability, debuggability, and scalability. Design robust memory, context management, tool-use, and guardrail layers to ensure agents behave predictably in adversarial or edge-case conditions. Establish human-in-the-loop checkpoints, confidence thresholds, and escalation paths — ensuring agents augment rather than replace human judgment in critical decisions. AWS Infrastructure & MLOps Design and own the cloud backbone for AI services: Lambda, ECS/Fargate, SQS/SNS, Dynamo DB, S3, Cloud Watch, and Bedrock — with a focus on scalability, cost, and reliability. Build CI/CD pipelines for prompt versioning, model rollout, A/B testing, and automated evals before production deployment. Define and enforce monitoring standards for drift, latency, cost, and failure rates across all deployed AI systems. R&D & Innovation Lead frontier model evaluation — benchmark Claude, GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, and emerging open-weight models against Snoonu's specific use cases and constraints. Identify and prototype the next high-leverage AI capability the team should build — bring experiments from idea to validated proof-of-concept with clear go/no-go criteria. Produce high-quality technical documentation: architecture decision records, experimental results, and prompt engineering playbooks for team-wide use. ????‍♂️ The Magic You Bring Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field. About The Role The Application Engineer – DX & VRV plays a key role in delivering technically sound, optimized, and commercially competitive HVAC solutions across Daikin's sales organization. This role is responsible for equipment selection, system design validation, technical compliance, and application engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders, and ensure that proposed DX and VRV solutions meet customer requirements, local regulations, and Daikin engineering standards while contributing to successful project execution and business growth in Qatar. How You Will Make An Impact Provide application engineering support to all Sales functions throughout the project lifecycle, from project inquiry to order confirmation. Design, size, and select DX, VRV and AHU equipment using Daikin selection software (VRV, AHU selection software, and other approved engineering tools). Review project specifications, tender documents, HVAC drawings, and schedules to develop compliant and optimized technical solutions. Validate equipment selections to ensure technical feasibility, energy efficiency, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to Daikin engineering standards. Prepare technical submittals, equipment schedules, selection reports, and engineering documentation to support project proposals. Provide value engineering recommendations and alternative solutions that improve technical performance and commercial competitiveness. Coordinate with Product Management, Sales, Factory Engineering, and other internal teams to resolve technical queries and ensure timely project support. Support quotation preparation by providing accurate technical selections, engineering calculations, and costing inputs. Participate in technical meetings with consultants, customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to present solutions, discuss design requirements, and address application-related questions. Stay current with HVAC technologies, local regulations, industry standards, and Daikin product developments to provide best-in-class application support. Ensure smooth technical handover to the execution team following order confirmation. What You Need To Succeed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC Application Engineering, Technical Support, or HVAC System Design, with strong expertise in DX and VRV systems, preferably within the Qatar or GCC market. Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, equipment selection, psychometrics, heat load calculations, and energy-efficient system applications. Hands-on experience using HVAC selection and design software, including VRV, Auto CAD, AHU selection software and Microsoft Office applications. Solid understanding of MEP drawings, HVAC design standards, tender specifications, and consultant requirements. Proven experience providing technical support across multiple sales channels, including equipment selection, solution optimization, value engineering, and technical proposal development. Ability to analyze project requirements, identify technical risks, and recommend practical engineering solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with consultants, contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Fluent in English. Arabic language skills are an advantage.
