Department: NUQ Production & Digital Media Salary/Grade: ITS/79 The Sr Digital Media Video Specialist at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU_Q) will be responsible for the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of complex media systems, including photography, digital cinema, TV broadcast, and multimedia productions, under limited or no supervision. Sr The Digital Media Video Specialist will provide in-class support, including assisting and training faculty and students in the use of facilities and equipment such as Canon Cinema cameras, RED Cinema cameras, DSLRs, ENG systems, and advanced lighting equipment, including Aladdin Bi-flex, ARRI Skypanels, and Apurture COB light fixtures. The candidate will provide close mentoring and instruction to students in the use of production equipment to complete their course assignments. In addition to in-class support, the Sr Digital Media Video Specialist will lead and provide advanced production support for the department’s portfolio of video projects, including training videos, university event coverage, and social media content creation. This includes filming with cinema cameras, gimbals, and sliders. The candidate will be expected to edit video projects using various programs in the Adobe Creative Suite, such as Premiere Pro and After Effects. Work schedules will be flexible and may require evening and/or weekend hours. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Assist and provide support in the day-to-day operation of NU-Q media production facilities and equipment including still photography, digital cinema cameras (Canon, Sony, GoPro, RED), studio and field lighting and grip equipment (Arri, Aputure, ETC), video servers, monitors, audio mixer consoles and microphones, conversion devices, switchers, distribution equipment, radio, TV and news productions, as well as performing diagnostic functions, implementing maintenance actions and installation of the equipment. Supports the operation in the production equipment storage room (The Cage) as needed including equipment check-ins and check-outs, and the Web Checkout ticketing system. Lead, plan, shoot, and edit video content for a wide variety of departmental needs, including live events, social media, academic conferences, and other institutional needs. Provides in-class training and orientation to students, faculty, and staff for all media production facilities including individual and group training sessions as needed. Supports NU-Q faculty in the preparation of course material and/or technology requirements of classes when requested. Provides support for production software used by faculty and students including Adobe Creative Suite, Protools, DaVinci Resolve, ENPS, and other software for audio, video, print, and multi-media production. Supports and assists in the use of production spaces including edit suite, studios and newsroom as needed. For NU-Q special events, assists during set-up, rehearsals, and during the event(s). Duties may include lighting support, camera operation, or any other technical roles as needed. Works with the manager/supervisor on the evaluation of new technologies for use in NU-Q and their applicability to the market and NU-Q programs. Provides recommendations regarding new technologies and their integration into NU-Q programs. Creates workflows, documentations and user guides for various types of equipment. Maintains awareness of evolving media technologies through professional publications, outside contacts, and ongoing professional development. Provides recommendations regarding new technologies and their integration into the NU-Q programs. Assists with non-university related commercial productions utilizing NU-Q production facilities and equipment. This includes possible night and weekend support *Will perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (education, Experience, Certifications, Skills) Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree in production, media technology, or comparable field and significant computerized production; OR appropriate combination of education and experience. 10 years of experience working in a media production environment, such as broadcast news, commercial production, or institutional video production with duties focused on filming, lighting, and editing. Maintains a portfolio of related video work. Previous mentoring or teaching experience in either a formal educational or professional in-house environment. Strong analytical skills. Ability to lift/move and install equipment up to 20kg (approx. 44.0 lbs) including cameras, lighting, and editing CPUs when necessary. Ability to maintain respectful and effective working relationships with a variety of parties throughout the University’s community. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to take initiative and work independently. Ability to use both PC and Mac applications. Fluency in English language. Excellent video editing skills and an in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite editing applications. Understand the fundamentals of production lighting and lighting setup. Demonstrated knowledge of Mac OS X. Ability to use both PC and Mac applications. Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to take initiative and work independently. Maintains a robust portfolio of related video work. Previous teaching experience in either a formal educational or professional in-house environment. Experience working in a higher education environment. Fluency in English and Arabic and knowledge of Qatari customs. Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator. Demonstrated knowledge of Network technologies to enable analyzing IT and AV system problems under pressure. Working knowledge of AR, VR and 360 Video production and equipment. Ability to prepare documents, white papers and teaching resources on basic and advanced use of media technologies for the university’s faculty members, staff, and students. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The target hiring range for this position will be between $80,300 to $103,510 per year. The Senior Cybersecurity Accreditation Auditor is responsible for delivering day-to-day accreditation services and ensuring that assessments of third parties are conducted in a fair, consistent, and objective manner. The role focuses on evaluating compliance with national and international cybersecurity standards, managing accreditation applications, and maintaining the integrity of the accreditation process. The Senior Munitions Inspector is the technical expert and advisor for the USAF Munitions Surveillance Program (MSP). Appointed as the focal point for managing all of the Department's MSP and inspector's qualification/certification program, as addressed in DAFMAN 21-201. Also performs surveillance inspections of munitions to determine and identify serviceability, potential hazards and possible deterioration. This may include measuring, observing, inspecting, testing, analyzing, classifying and recording inspection results of inspections in the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS). Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).Principal Accountabilities<ul><li>Diligently manages the MSP in accordance with DAFMAN 21-201 to include training, certification and evaluations of all assigned Munitions Inspectors to assure optimum reliance of the munitions stockpile.</li><li>Advises the Munitions Superintendent about all aspects of the MSP with recommended actions.</li><li>Monitors surveillance actions and performance of assigned Inspectors to avert negative trends.</li><li>Operates and analyzes applicable TICMS products to ensure they reflect total accuracy of the stockpile.</li><li>Inspects munitions and containers in accordance with 11A-1-10 and other applicable technical directives.</li><li>Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during all munitions operations in assigned site and temporary duty locations.</li><li>In the event of an emergency, takes necessary control measures with timely response actions.</li><li>Conducts all munitions work according to established quality processes and technical standards, identifying potential problems and implementing timely, long-term solutions.</li><li>Accurately documents all serviceability and accountability actions in a timely manner.</li><li>Coordinates with Accountability Section and USAF MASO to resolve all serviceability and accountability discrepancies noted during any of the surveillance and/or inventory operations.</li><li>Conducts warehouse inventories and corrects any discrepancies, analyzing any potential negative trends.</li><li>Ensures USAF custody accounts are an integral part of the department master surveillance program.</li><li>Oversees the inspection and certification of munitions brass, residue and containers in accordance with 11A-1-60.</li><li>Reconditions, repairs and replaces defective or missing parts of munitions and containers.</li><li>Performs munitions storage warehousing actions according to DOD/USAF explosives standards.</li><li>Evaluates munitions production and equipment performance to identify negative trends and solutions.</li><li>Inspects and operates electronic test equipment, metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools according to established standards.</li><li>Prepares and delivers general and explosives safety briefings prior to initiating an explosives operation.</li><li>Performs entry-controller duties as required.</li><li>Works necessary hours, to include stand-by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.</li></ul>Desired Candidate Profile<ul><li>Must have intermediate level knowledge of the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or US Service equivalent.</li><li>Must have intermediate level knowledge of current MIS applicable to PGM activities.</li><li>Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.</li><li>May be required to operate material handling equipment.</li><li>Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Must have completed formal USAF Munitions Systems training or US Service equivalent.</li><li>Must meet prerequisites for a Senior Munitions Inspector in accordance with DAFMAN 21-201.</li><li>Must have a minimum 2 years of experience as USAF Munitions Inspector within the past 48 months or have attended the AETC in-resident or Mobile Training Team course within the past 48 months.</li><li>Must have a minimum of seven years' experience with USAF Military Munitions or US service equivalent.</li><li>Must have a minimum of five years combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions activities and MMHE or US service equivalent.</li><li>Must be capable attending the USAF Munitions Inspector Course.</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. <section>Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities<div class="paragraph">As the Head of Automation you will have comprehensive experience in automated studio production and gallery directing, possessing strong supervisory and management capabilities, who can handle recruitment, training, and management of all staff within the Automation section. The Senior Cybersecurity Accreditation Auditor is responsible for delivering day-to-day accreditation services and ensuring that assessments of third parties are conducted in a fair, consistent, and objective manner. The role focuses on evaluating compliance with national and international cybersecurity standards, managing accreditation applications, and maintaining the integrity of the accreditation process. It also supports continuous improvement of accreditation frameworks, tools, and methodologies aligned with national cybersecurity requirements. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the conduct of the day to day of accreditation services. Key Responsibilities:Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video and photo content for marketing campaigns, social media, events, and brand promotions Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and content ideas aligned with brand identity Produce short-form and long-form content optimized for social media engagement Handle camera operations, lighting setup, audio recording, and post-production editing Create reels, promotional videos, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and lifestyle visuals Collaborate with marketing and design teams to execute content strategies Stay updated with current social media trends, viral formats, and industry best practices Manage content archives and ensure timely delivery of media assets Perform color correction, sound enhancement, motion graphics, and basic animation where required Travel to various locations for shoots and event coverage when needed Requirements:Proven experience as a Content Creator, Videographer, or similar role Strong portfolio showcasing videography, editing, and social media content work Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut, or similar editing software Experience with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lighting equipment, drones, and audio gear Strong understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization Creative mindset with excellent visual storytelling abilities Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of photography and graphic design is an advantage Experience in hospitality, real estate, lifestyle, luxury, or F&B industries is preferred
