To assist the Security Manager to maintain the Life Safety machinery and equipment, all mechanicals such as pumps and emergency diesel. Troubleshoot and repair all equipment that is non-operational. Job Description Role Swimming Instructor Department Academy Division Society Sport Center Reporting To Academy Manager Direct Reports N/A Works Closely With Academy Administrator, Academy Coaches & Instructors, Sales & Experience Team, Members & Parents Role Purpose The Swimming Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality swimming instruction across the Society Academy, teaching children and adults of all levels and abilities in a safe, engaging, and progressive learning environment, while contributing to the growth and commercial performance of the Swim programme. Reporting to the Academy Manager, the role combines teaching excellence, swimmer development, water safety, and member engagement — supporting enrolment, retention, and participation across group lessons, private lessons, and Academy events. Swimming Instructors are expected to deliver structured, brand-aligned lessons aligned to a recognised learn-to-swim framework, build strong relationships with members and parents, and uphold the highest safeguarding and pool-safety standards at all times. Key Responsibilities Swimming Instruction & Swimmer Development• Deliver individual and group swimming lessons for children and adults across all levels and abilities.• Develop structured, progressive lesson plans aligned to swimmer ability and a recognised learn-to-swim framework.• Teach water safety, stroke development, and swimming technique to a high standard.• Deliver all lessons safely, professionally, and in line with Society Academy standards. Swimmer Progress & Assessment• Monitor swimmer progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to swimmers and parents.• Assess swimmers and recommend appropriate stage and programme progression.• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and stage achievement for each swimmer. The person in this role will be responsible for maintaining critical rotating equipment according to approved maintenance strategies, procedures, and work instructions. This ensures the availability and integrity of Rotating equipment and systems, in alignment with the company's requirements. What you’ll be doing The Rotating Equipment Technician role is crucial to the Pearl GTL Asset organization, ensuring that Central Maintenance delivers according to plan. Compliance with the company's Code of Conduct, procedures, and Permit to Work are mandatory requirements. Key responsibilities include executing maintenance jobs on time, safely, and with high quality while driving continuous improvement. A little taste of your day-to-day: Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing laundry equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. Carrying out preventive maintenance on washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment. Responding promptly to maintenance requests and completing work orders to minimise equipment downtime. Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organised, and in good working condition. Supporting energy conservation initiatives by identifying maintenance improvements and efficient operating practices. Following all health, safety, and hotel engineering standards while carrying out repairs. Working closely with the Laundry teams to resolve technical issues and maintain uninterrupted operations. Taking on other maintenance duties as assigned while contributing as a reliable team player. What We need from you: A Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults. The ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs (23 kg), with frequent bending, walking, and standing throughout the shift. A good understanding of reading, writing, and basic maths. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards. Great communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
