Our goal is to enable and increase Agoda’s business through creative approaches and the implementation of powerful resources such as operational and analytical databases, ML driven solutions, queue systems and data monitoring tools. The role the engineering team plays at Agoda is critical as business users, product managers, and many others rely on us to empower their decision making. We are equally dedicated to our customers by improving their search experience with faster results and protecting them from any fraudulent activities. Data is interesting only when you have enough of it, and we have plenty. This is what drives up the challenge as part of the ML engineering squad, but also the reward. We work across structured and non-structured data at scale. For example, our current ML models process millions of images every day to try and enhance the experience that our users get from our app.<br><br>Why Agoda Engineering Team (ML role)?<br><br>Our engineering teams are at the intersection of business analytics, ml engineering, data warehousing and software engineering. Our job involves dealing with distributed systems, stream processing, ml modeling and computation at tens of PB Scale. We focus on software engineering related to data replication, storage, centralized computation, and Data API’s. By providing our users with ML products/tools, shared frameworks, and ML services, we enable our company to validate strategic decisions, make smarter choices, and react to the fast-changing world. We are a small but passionate team with people from different nationalities working together on a single goal.<br><br>In this Role, you will get to:<br><br>Lead the team technically in improving scalability, stability, accuracy, speed and efficiency of our existing ML systems and processes. Build, administer and scale ML processing pipelines. Be comfortable navigating the following technology stack: Python3, Scala Spark, scripting (Bash/Python), Hadoop, SQL, S3 etc. Should be able to understand internals of ML models such as Light GBM, Random Forest, CNN, Regression models, etc Design, build, test and deploy new libraries, frameworks or full systems for our core systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality. Work with experienced engineers and product owners to identify and build tools to automate many large-scale data management / analysis tasks. We believe in end-to-end ownership; this role will involve taking and building systems that enable us to deliver ML models to production at a scale.<br><br>What You’ll need to Succeed:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in computer science /information systems/engineering/related field 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a minimum of 4+ years in MLExpert in SQL, Python3, and JVM based programming language – ie, Java or Scala Expert in software design/design patterns, functional programming and object-oriented programming. Analytical problem-solving capabilities & experience. Job Summary The Job holder shall be responsible for lead the information programs/ issuing bulletins aimed at defining the role of the ministry, its activities and competencies providing appropriate media coverage of the ministry's activities and establishing strong relations with the media and maintaining them as well as dealing with statements issued by the Ministry of Health, articles, conferences, media interviews and health announcements. Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Oversee the communications to the media, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives.2. Cultivate and manage relationships with media representatives.3. Ensure the media affairs section protects and promotes MOPH image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner.4. Manage the flow of news about the organization to the media.5. Optimize communication system to enhance accuracy of communication.6. Approves messages for press releases and pitches, talking points, social media accounts, speeches, media statements, op-eds, letters to the editor, etc.7. Manage the composing and editing of press releases, organization literature, and articles for internal and external use.8. Manage the requests and complaints from the public, refer them to the concerned administrative units and respond to their inquiries.9. Strive for customers' satisfaction through gaining knowledge about their opinions on quality areas of health services provided and recommend improvement.10. Department: NUQ Marketing<br><br>Salary/Grade: EXS/N14<br><br>The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in providing administrative, logistical, and operational support to the Assistant Dean of Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q). Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean, this position ensures the smooth functioning of daily operations, supports scheduling and communication workflows, and contributes to effective coordination across the department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In collaboration with the supervisor, the Executive Assistant helps develop objectives and independently establishes timelines and tasks for assigned functions, which may include marketing support, reporting, records management, compliance, and related administrative activities. The role also reviews and recommends improvements to workflows, reporting procedures, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and support departmental goals. This includes analyzing administrative practices, such as recordkeeping systems and forms control, to create new systems or revise existing procedures as needed.<br><br>Essential Duties And Responsibilities<br><br>Administrative & Executive Support<br><br> Manage the Assistant Dean’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and engagements, ensuring effective time management and prioritization. Plan, coordinate, and support events that require cultural awareness, protocol knowledge, and sensitivity to diverse audiences; this may include multi-day or multi-venue programs and research into potential program areas, participants, and logistical requirements. Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, room bookings, catering, logistics, and the preparation of agendas, briefing materials, and other relevant documents. Prepare, proofread, and format correspondence, memoranda, reports, presentations, and other materials on behalf of leadership, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and consistency. Serve as the first point of contact for the Assistant Dean, responding to phone, email, and in-person inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency. Maintain accurate and well-organized departmental files, records, and documentation in both digital and physical formats to ensure accessibility and effective information management. Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, reports, queries, charts, and analyses to support departmental tracking, reporting, and decision-making. Administer budgets and expenditures on behalf of the Assistant Dean of Communications and Public Affairs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Coordinate the preparation and submission of budget materials, reports, and supporting documentation. <br><br>Team Collaboration<br><br> Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture by contributing positively to departmental communication, coordination, and shared goals. Coordinate and participate in regular team meetings, workshops, and planning sessions to support alignment, information sharing, and continuous improvement. Maintain documentation, shared resources, and knowledge repositories to support knowledge retention, accessibility, and consistency across the team. Support the development and maintenance of efficient workflows, systems, and processes that enhance team coordination and operational effectiveness. <br><br>Other duties, as assigned by the Assistant Dean<br><br>Minimum Qualifications (education, Experience, Certifications, Skills)<br><br> Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in executive support, office administration, or project coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Office scheduling platforms, and digital collaboration tools. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with discretion and professionalism. <br><br>Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications, Skills)<br><br> Experience in a higher education, communications, or creative environment. Familiarity with Smartsheet, Fresh Service, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, digital asset management and CRM tools. Working knowledge of event planning, office management and office logistics.
