Position: Cost Control Engineer Location: Project based<br>Job Purpose:Implement cost control procedures and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with budgets, providing reliable forecasts and supporting effective project decision-making.<br>Duties & Responsibilities:• Prepare and maintain project cost control plans and budgets.• Track and Monitor actual costs versus budget, analyze variances and identify trends.• Develop cost forecasts and cash flow projections, highlighting deviations.• Coordinate with project teams to validate cost data and implement corrective actions.• Participate in the development of cost control procedures and templates.• Manage cost coding and ensure proper allocation of costs to work breakdown structures.• Analyze committed costs, accruals, and booked cost to identify variances• Monitor CPI, SPI, CV and SV to assess project performance.• Develop and Issue Key Performance Indicators to evaluate cost code allocation, productivity, resource utilization, project performance.• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier cost .• Assist with change management by assessing cost impacts of changes.• Conduct cost risk analyses and maintain contingency allocations.• Provide training to junior cost engineers and contribute to the development of cost control systems.<br>Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering.5+ years cost control experience. Strong experience in construction, road, and infrastructure projects. Strong analytical skills and ability to work within multiple project teams. Training in cost control software and forecasting techniques. ERP System ( JD Edwards ).
Primary Purpose Of The Job<br><br>Responsible for leading VOR Disciplines Engineers, Disciplines Technicians in coordination with Qatar Energy Project Team and Contractors to ensure consistent and standardized execution of Project design, pre- commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities for Operational Area (VO) Projects in accordance with approved Qatar Energy Procedures, Guidelines, Engineering Design, Safety & Environmental Standards/Specifications and Scope of Work to ensure that:<br><br>Operational Area Asset Owners are fully ready to assume ownership of the asset at the point of delivery/handover, and that they are able to operate and maintain that asset in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner.<br><br>Operational Area (VO) Projects are delivered much faster, at much lower cost and at the highest productivity while maintaining the highest standard in quality and HSE.<br><br>Required Experience And Skills<br><br>Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design, construction, commissioning and start-up of oil & gas processing and production facilities (Onshore/Offshore), preferably with EPIC contracting companies of which a minimum eight (8) years Commissioning Coordinator/Team Leader. Experience in operations, maintenance, and projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand-over activities. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Relevant technical expertise. Multi-discipline engineering exposure with trouble-shooting and problem solving skills. Good IT and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure.<br><br>Educational Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline preferably Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
