JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVEManage and ensure the successful execution of projects. Primary responsibility is to oversee and implement project management processes, including estimation, planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to effectively control project progress and resources.<br>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Planning & Scheduling Collaborate with project managers, Project engineers and stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including defining project goals, scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones. Responsible for developing and managing the projects budgets, tracking, and monitoring costs throughout the project's lifecycle. Responsible to keep the projects budget forecast updated throughout the project's lifecycle. Prepare the yearly & quarterly budget for projects. Responsible for developing and monitoring the department budget. Manage and control projects’ costs, including forecasting, and spend tracking and work closely with project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that budgets are met as per the planned WBS and cost overruns are identified and addressed. Analyse project performance data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement and use this information to make recommendations to Project managers, project engineers and other stakeholders. Update the individual master cost control sheet for Major Projects and keep their financial data accurate through all project phases. Review of projects invoices and validate the progress. Analyse EOT (Extension of Time) claims and change order and assess their impact on schedule. Support Project managers, project engineers and other stakeholders to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Monitor the project for any unforeseen risks and propose corrective actions if necessary. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required.<br>Project Controls & Analysis Monitor and control project progress by using various tools and techniques to collect and analyse data, identifying potential risks and deviations from the project plan. This involves providing regular project status updates, generating reports, and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Identify project resource requirements, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, and coordinating with relevant teams to ensure their availability by monitor resource utilization, optimize resource allocations, and manage any changes or conflicts. Implement monitoring systems and tools to track project progress against the project plan, schedule, and budget. This includes collecting data, analysing project performance, identifying deviations or risks, and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track. Assess and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget. Ability to follow through enquiry from client and help clarify scope to achieve quote accuracy in line with client’s instructions / expectations. Liaise with the line manager and other team members to develop the overall strategy for the tender. Send out enquiries to the supply chain to ensure the best prices are received by selecting the most suitable suppliers / manufacturing location for the project. Liaise and request support from other individuals in the organization to produce programmes and quality submissions as dictated by the enquiry/RFQ. Analyze the supply chain quotes & negotiate the best costs with knowledge of raw material costs & manufacturing rate across various economies. Review their terms and conditions and compare with basic tender practices. Prepare tender analysis information & present in a professional fashion for both internal analysis & presentation to the client. Install the costs with sufficient detail to enable contract review. Role Summary<br><br>The Estimator is in charge of working out job estimates in the most realistic, accurate and competitive way for the submission of quotations and tenders on enquiries received. Timely attendance to receive enquiries and preparation of estimates using our proprietary estimation system.<br><br>Duties And Responsibilities<br><br>Receipt of contract enquiries, reviewing and preparing a plan of action to price the enquiries assigned within the deadline requested. Ability to follow through enquiry from client and help clarify scope to achieve quote accuracy in line with client’s instructions / expectations. Liaise with the line manager and other team members to develop the overall strategy for the tender. Send out enquiries to the supply chain to ensure the best prices are received by selecting the most suitable suppliers / manufacturing location for the project. Liaise and request support from other individuals in the organization to produce programmes and quality submissions as dictated by the enquiry/RFQ. Analyze the supply chain quotes & negotiate the best costs with knowledge of raw material costs & manufacturing rate across various economies. Review their terms and conditions and compare with basic tender practices. Prepare tender analysis information & present in a professional fashion for both internal analysis & presentation to the client. Install the costs with sufficient detail to enable contract review. Analyze the mark-ups for presentation at the tender vet meetings. Ensure the tender summary sheet is signed off in accordance with the procedure. Monitor the tenders/quotations and attend meetings with the clients as required. Review the enquiry in detail i.e., conditions of contract. Specification, drawings, bill of materials etc., to identify opportunities, risks, discrepancies and qualify those suitably . Attend hand-over meetings between the Estimating Dept. and the Operational and Commercial Teams & prepare sufficient information to the relevant teams to take the project forward.<br><br>Personal Qualities<br><br>The ideal candidate for the role of Estimator has the following skills, personal qualities, and experience:<br><br>5 years of experience in fit-out industry preparing estimates preferably with Qatar experience. B. Tech, B. E or Diploma holder. Job Purpose<br><br>This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective Contract life cycle for goods and services in a cost effective and professional manner to protect Company interests. This role is responsible for high value & complex contracting & capital procurement of services related to Turnaround Section. Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession<br><br>Typical Responsibilities<br><br>Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers as appropriate, to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements and timely and accurate cost and progress reporting Preparation of Planning Support Package Managing the overall project CTR budget and cost Propose, agree and manage agreed payment plan including milestone payments. Preparing and issuance of Project Invoice(s) Preparation of Project Controls procedures as project requirements Weekly and Monthly schedule and cost Reporting (using EVM) of planned v’s actual progress figures including forecasting Monitor cost and schedule impact of achievement / non achievement of project milestones Identification, monitoring, and reporting against the project critical path providing early warning to the Project Manager of any potential slippages Develop and maintain project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work Develop and maintain cost and planning control structures in alignment with project Work Breakdown Structure Manage the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set - up and approvals Responsible for the timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the budget and schedules if applicable Assist Project Accountants and Billing Specialists in the Billing process and any other cost related queries Assist with application of baseline and forecast installation unit rates and norms for estimating quantity change impacts Supports earned value progress measurement May assist with updates and changes to project quantities and reports on variances to baseline Production and overall maintenance of project S - Curves and Histograms Creation of the projects fully resourced, logic linked Gantt Charts within preferred planning software to the agreed project and programme requirements Perform progress updates of the project Gantt charts. Includes executed changes into project schedule Monitor current and assess future resource needs for the project and programme through analysis of workload at project level Identify slippages, significant float erosion and recommend recovery actions Coordinate development and issue project change orders / variations in accordance with contract / assignment change notifications Ensure local change management process is adhered to Tracking of and input into the change management system Attendance at client progress meetings Input to the preparation of proposal schedules and CTR packs Participate and support cost and schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions Ensure risk is managed and monitored at project level in line with local standards and processes Ensure Project Controls processes and procedures are accurate, up to date and followed Liaise with clients and ensure that projects are managed effectively to ensure delivery in a manner which meets quality, time, and budget specifications<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>What makes you remarkable? <br><br>At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
