Master our cloud and AI service spending, hunting down savings by right-sizing resources, eliminating waste, and optimizing usage. Implement and enforce smart cloud governance, including a rock-solid tagging strategy, so every dollar of cloud spend has an owner. Dig into total costs—including cloud infrastructure—to find savings and margin wins, then partner with the team to make it happen. Track and map every dollar flowing in and out of our product portfolio for full transparency. Work hand-in-hand with Product Managers and Engineers to weigh the financial impact of new features, pricing moves, and architectural choices. Help Operations decode cost drivers and resource use for maximum efficiency. Own financial KPIs and deep-dive P&L reviews for both individual products and our full lineup. Job Summary<br><br>We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Hydraulics Operations Manager to lead and oversee all hydraulic operations across Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, field service activities, project execution, inventory control, customer satisfaction, and team performance while ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and compliance with quality and safety standards.<br><br>The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems, leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing service and repair operations within industrial, oil & gas, marine, construction, and manufacturing sectors.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Operations Management<br><br>Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the hydraulic workshop and field service teams. Ensure timely execution of hydraulic repair, maintenance, overhaul, and installation projects. Develop operational plans to achieve business objectives and customer requirements. Monitor operational performance, productivity, and service quality. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.<br>Workshop & Service Management<br><br>Oversee hydraulic pump, motor, cylinder, valve, and power unit repair activities. Ensure quality control procedures are followed throughout all repair and service processes. Manage service schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning. Monitor workshop utilization and service turnaround times. Ensure proper testing and commissioning of repaired hydraulic equipment.<br>Project Management<br><br>Manage hydraulic projects from initiation through completion. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, and subcontractors. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions when required.<br>Team Leadership & Development<br><br>Lead, mentor, and develop workshop supervisors, service engineers, technicians, and support staff. Additional certifications in Hydraulic Systems, Fluid Power, Project Management, or Operations Management are advantageous.<br>Experience<br><br>Minimum 10–15 years of experience in hydraulic systems, service operations, or industrial maintenance. At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong experience managing hydraulic workshops and field service operations. Purpose of the Job<br>Phillips Page Associates (PPA) is a growing international consultancy specialising in Mission Critical Infrastructure and Data Centre Engineering, delivering complex MEP, ICT and Security design solutions across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.<br>PPA is building a permanent, full-time, site-based Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team in Qatar to support its growing performance.· Set clear objectives for direct reports, conduct performance reviews and support their development.· Mentor and coach team members, building institutional PMC capability within the Qatar office.<br>Design & Technical Coordination<br>· Oversee the review and approval of design deliverables submitted by the design consultant/contractor.· Ensure design intent is carried through consistently into procurement, construction and commissioning.· Resolve technical and interface issues between disciplines, contractors and the client's technical team.<br>Procurement & Contract Management<br>· Support tendering, contractor and vendor selection, and contract award processes.· Oversee day-to-day contract administration for main and sub-contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms.· Manage variations, claims and disputes, working with commercial/legal support as required.<br>Commercial & Cost Management<br>· Own the overall project budget, cost forecasting and monthly cost reporting.· Review and approve payment certificates and monitor actual cost against the approved budget.· Manage contingency, change control and cost risk across the project.<br>Schedule & Risk Management<br>· Oversee the master project programme and critical path, ensuring the Planning Engineer's outputs are accurate and actionable.· Monitor progress against key milestones and intervene early where delays are identified.· Own and maintain the project risk register, and lead regular risk review sessions with the team.<br>Quality, HSE & Compliance<br>· Ensure the project quality management plan and HSE management plan are implemented, audited and enforced on site.· Chair or attend site safety reviews and quality review meetings, holding contractors accountable for performance.· Ensure project delivery complies with contractual requirements and all relevant Qatari regulations and permits.<br>Commissioning & Handover<br>· Oversee execution of the commissioning strategy, working closely with the Technical & Commissioning Manager.· Ensure a smooth, well-documented transition to the client's operations team, including resolution of snagging and defects.· Ensure as-built documentation, O&M manuals and close-out records are complete and delivered on time.<br>Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge and hands-on experience required across<br>· Full project lifecycle management for mission-critical/data centre construction projects.· Contract administration (e.g. FIDIC or similar forms of contract).· Cost control, schedule management and risk
