Job Role The Planning Engineer is responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for EPC Oil & Gas and Power Plant projects. The role involves developing and maintaining Primavera P6 schedules, monitoring project progress, validating performance data, and preparing planning reports to support effective project control and timely project delivery.<br>Key Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 in accordance with approved WBS, activity coding structures, and project requirements. The role involves end-to-end ownership of billing, rating, pricing, mediation, and reporting systems in complex telecom environments, ensuring revenue assurance, accuracy, and high system availability.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Design, develop, configure, and support Oracle BRM 12.x/15.x environments including rating, billing, invoicing, taxation, and revenue assurance. Implement and maintain BRM customizations using opcodes, MTA applications, PCM C/PCM Java, and Unix/Perl scripting. Manage full pricing lifecycle using PDC, including charge offers, discounts, bundles, tiered pricing, roaming models, and validation rules. Support BRM upgrades, including cloud-native deployments, Helm-based deployments, regression testing, and production cutover activities. Troubleshoot rating, discounting, billing, and reconciliation issues, including RCA for revenue-impacting incidents. Design, configure, and maintain OCOMC mediation flows for telecom usage data (voice, SMS, data, roaming). Develop and maintain OCOMC cartridges, node chains, parsing logic, transformations, and error-handling/reprocessing workflows. Monitor mediation pipelines and ensure accurate downstream processing into BRM and billing systems. Design and develop enterprise reports using BI Publisher / Oracle Analytics Publisher, including scheduling, bursting, and performance optimisation. Support BRM–PDC–OCOMC–BIP integrations across cloud-native and on-prem environments. The NER / FTTx Active Network Engineer/Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day activities related to the operation, maintenance, and updating of FTTx active network infrastructure. The role involves fiber patching, card installation, network topology updates, inventory and GIS records management, and providing technical support for BAU activities to ensure service continuity and network integrity. Key Responsibilities Perform fiber patching and installation of GPON/XGPON cards and associated hardware. Update network topology records and maintain as-built documentation for OLT infrastructure. Support daily Network Engineering Records (NER) activities and ensure accuracy of network data. Manage and update GIS and inventory systems related to FTTx active networks. Install and commission active network equipment, including OLTs, UPEs, and transport equipment. Perform AC/DC power connections and hardware integration activities. Support network capacity expansion through installation of service boards and modules. Troubleshoot fiber patching, SFP modules, and connectivity issues. Implement and document network topology changes. Utilize network management and inventory tools for monitoring and record maintenance. Coordinate with engineering teams and stakeholders to support operational requirements. Participate in emergency and critical maintenance activities, including occasional support during holidays. Ensure compliance with established network standards and procedures. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in FTTx active network operations, maintenance, or automation projects. Hands-on experience with Huawei OLT platforms, including MA5600T, MA5608T, and MA5800 series. Experience with GPON and XGPON technologies and related service boards. Strong understanding of OSP network architecture, including splitters and ODF configurations. Knowledge of WDM-based GPON/XGPON coexistence solutions and migration concepts. Experience with GIS applications, inventory management systems, and network management platforms (e.g., Huawei U2000 or equivalent). Familiarity with fiber patching techniques, SFP modules, and troubleshooting methodologies. Ability to understand, implement, and document network topology changes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Valid Qatar Driving License is required.
