We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for a major infrastructure programme in Qatar.<br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project quality requirements and ensuring that engineering and construction activities comply with approved specifications, procedures, standards and contractual requirements.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Implement and monitor project QA/QC requirements. If you’re ready to shape the future of AI in the public sector and be a founding member of our team, we’d love to hear from you.<br><br>You will:<br><br>Partner with public sector clients to scope, collect feedback and implement solutions for complex problems, including spending up to two weeks per month in client offices for feedback and delivery. Architect production-grade applications that integrate AI models with full-stack frameworks, managing everything from interactive UIs to backend APIs and systems. Deploy and manage infrastructure within cloud environments, ensuring the highest levels of system integrity, security, scalability, and long-term reliability. Contribute to core platform features designed to be reused across diverse international client use cases. Partner with design, product, and data teams to build robust applications aligned with the broader technical architecture.<br><br>Ideally you’d have:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field 5+ years of post-graduation, full-stack engineering experience with demonstrated proficiency in React (required), Type Script, Next.js, Python, Node.js, Postgre SQL or Mongo DB plus hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure/AWS/GCP. Proven ability to architect scalable, production-grade applications with a strong handle on cloud environments and infrastructure health. Experience working directly within customer infrastructure to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot complex, end-to-end solutions. A self-starting approach with the technical maturity to navigate ambiguous requirements and deliver reliable software. Primary Purpose Of The Job<br><br>Assist delivery of the strategic vision for Qatar Energy Trading’s transformation, aligning it with long-term goals and architecture. Working with key stakeholders to elaborate requirements, design and implement efficient application solutions. Manage products backlogs and work with technical teams on implementation. Work collaboratively and bring parties together from within IT and the commercial functions. Work directly with the business teams, have a customer first approach being able to communicate effectively with different levels and disciplines within the organization. Assist with understanding impact of business change and work with business teams to onboard and implement such change. Provide expert support and required technical services to QET on related applications, in coordination with the other ICT entities.<br><br>Required Experience And Skills<br><br>Minimum of 9 years of work experience in Commodities trading with leading IOCs, trading houses, NOCs, or vendors in change, process, and technology. Strong C/ETRM experience in designing and implementing solutions to enhance trading strategies, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency. Strong understanding of commodity markets (LNG is preferred), trading strategies, related organization, processes, risk management principles and related technologies solutions (C/ETRM, Fleet Management, Trading Platform, Market Analytics, etc). End-to-end, multi-disciplinary knowledge is required in areas such as Commodities trading, Shipping and Finance with advanced knowledge of the front-to-back office trade lifecycle. Specialized experience in at least one area, such as Physical LNG Trading, Cargo Operations, Shipping, Derivative & Emission Trading, Trading Risk and Finance, or Portfolio Optimization. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to work with the unknown, own problems and make decisions. Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements. Proven ability to manage backlog and relevant documentations with development team. Enthusiastic and passionate about technology as an enabler in commodities trading. Familiar with IT standards & best practices, architecture, integration, methods. Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, and ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to management, stakeholders and vendors. High proficiency with workplace applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure Dev Ops / Confluence Jira, Miro/Mural etc). Comfortable in working with SQL queries and Excel. Experience with C/ETRM tools such as Openlink, Triple Point, Allegro are preferred. Product knowledge of Planlogic EOS, Veson Nautical IMOS and SAP is an advantage. Practical experience with agile frameworks, PMP or Prince2 is an advantage.
