Job Purpose Perform condition monitoring of I&E Equipment utilizing available test equipment and to support I&E Reliability Engineers in identification of opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performing failure analyses and in maintaining compliance to all statutory and regulatory requirements as per company standards and policies.<br>Key Accountabilities Day-to-day Accountabilities and Reporting Implementation of safe work practices to ensure that no unsafe acts are committed either by his own self or contract manpower working under his supervision. Provide Full Support to Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineers in achieving their business linked objectives. Condition Monitoring & Inspection of Field equipment on time, as per schedule. Maintain and calibrate all test and inspection tools as per schedule. Knowledgeable about discipline-related plant equipment regarding past failure history and modifications performed. Support Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineers in review of Maintenance procedures/ITPM checklists and suggest improvements. Provide support to Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineers in updating of Instrument & Electrical equipment data in SAP and ECM. Support Instrument & Electrical Reliability group in ensuring MICE/IPS lists are kept up do date in accordance with company standards and procedures. Assist Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineer in tracking the progress of completed actions and monitoring the effects of completed actions. Assist in review of Spares and their association with corresponding equipment in SAP where required. Up-to-date record keeping of all relevant reliability data, drawings and reports. Maintain Instrument & Electrical Reliability Recommendations data base and follow up on recommendations closure. Develop Monthly condition monitoring reports and Asset Integrity metrics. Support Instrument & Electrical Reliability Engineers in performing QA/QC audits. Support Instrument & Electrical Reliability group in all compliance activities. Provide support to Instrument & Electrical Reliability group engineers in new and retrofit Instrument & Electrical projects. Exhibit good planning and time management skills. Demonstrate excellent coordination with other team members on common technical issues. Keeping abreast with technical modifications/improvements being implemented at plant site. Support Maintenance technicians in resolution of reliability issues and complex troubleshooting. Job Purpose Apply the acquired knowledge and experience in developing methods and processes to prevent, or reduce, the likelihood or frequency of failures in I&E systems and assets.<br>Accountabilities Day to Day Accountabilities: (for I&E Reliability Engineer with major Experience in Electrical) Advise and assist Maintenance I&E Engineers, electricians and production supervisors on complex electrical repairs and troubleshooting methodologies. Develop and implement Reliability strategies by utilizing conventional techniques such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventive and Predictive maintenance (PPM) strategies, and other industry accepted reliability techniques to analyse Electrical equipment failures and produce cost effective strategies to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant. Carry out detailed engineering calculations using ETAP (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Protection Relays Selectivity and Coordination) and develop drawings including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Interconnection drawings, electrical equipment data sheets etc. Implement Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance best practices. Work with other concerned departments to develop & execute appropriate Quality Assurance (QA) practices and develop a mechanism to assess the effectiveness of QA practices. Proactively identify Electrical Equipment Reliability Issues and develop engineering solutions for chronic and sporadic equipment reliability problems. Work with technical, production and maintenance departments to implement solutions. Lead Reliability Improvement efforts of the plant from the platform of Reliability Improvement Teams(RITs). Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis to identify various failure modes and recommend strategies to help improve I&E equipment reliability. Evaluate RCA reports, criticality studies, equipment strategies, and risk assessments on equipment to ensure consistency and compliance with company procedures and policies. Evaluate facility incidents that affect reliability and ensure that appropriate RCAs are performed. Assist in tracking RCA findings and completing action items in a timely manner. Reviews equipment specs/designs to ensure equipment can meet reliability objectives. Participate as a technical adviser on capital projects and turnarounds. Participates in the MOCs and PSSRs of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications. Act as subject matter expert (SME) in performing root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and provides expertise to the RCA teams as required. Review and optimize ITPMs for functionally critical Electrical power distribution equipment. Drive consistency in Electrical equipment design across the site as part of projects review including consistency in maintenance strategies. Provide input as needed on projects to ensure design and reliability issues are considered and addressed on new projects. Provide guidelines to Maintenance in order to ensure that Life Cycle Asset Management processes are complied with throughout the entire life cycle of new and old assets. Champion continuous improvement, fosters relationships between various plant functions to focus on total quality. Monitor, review and analyse MOCs carried out on IPS equipment ensuring proper Modification & Decommissioning requirements are followed as per standard and potential impact to IPS integrity reviewed. <li>Review and develop testing procedures like surge tests, DLN tuning, Machine Test Runs and performance tuning for turbo machinery systems and DCS controls for machinery.</li>
<li>Support Factory Acceptance Tests and review performance test results of machines. Validate machinery performance with theoretical calculation and compare performance maps and actual performance at site.</li>
<li>Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities, meeting the section and division KPIs.</li>
<li>Provide technical inputs related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements to support overall business objectives with the key focus being in the area of process and machine interactions.</li>
<li>Control and supervise the activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers.</li>
<li>Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.</li>
<li>Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security. Prepares discipline handover packages for operating company following startup.</li>
<li>Support high risk commissioning activities for high complexities & large-scale projects by (a) undertaking stringent system surveillance, (b) tuning and optimizing machinery control systems, and (c) providing advisory support to Operations and Maintenance.</li>
