About the Role We are looking for a strong Site Reliability Engineer to own and continuously improve the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of our production systems. You will be responsible for the infrastructure and reliability layer behind our commerce platform, including AWS, Kubernetes, networking, databases, search infrastructure, observability, CI/CD, incident response, and production operations. This is a hands-on role with high ownership, ideal for someone who can operate independently, solve complex infrastructure problems, and help build a stable foundation for a fast-growing product. Manage and improve our AWS cloud environment, including EKS, networking, load balancers, API Gateway, WAF, RDS/Postgre SQL, caching, and managed services. Operate and optimize Kubernetes workloads, deployments, scaling, resource usage, pod health, service discovery, ingress, and environment configuration. Maintain and improve database reliability, including Postgre SQL performance, backups, monitoring, replication awareness, connection management, and incident handling. Support and optimize Elasticsearch/Open Search usage for catalog/search workloads. Build and improve observability across the platform, including logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts, tracing, and actionable production monitoring. Improve incident response processes: detection, triage, mitigation, postmortems, and prevention of repeated issues. Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and release processes to make deployments safer, faster, and more reliable. Work closely with backend, mobile, product, and operations teams to support new features and ensure production readiness. Review architecture and infrastructure decisions with reliability, cost, security, and scalability in mind. Help secure the platform through AWS security best practices, WAF rules, IAM hygiene, network controls, secrets management, and vulnerability awareness. Monitor and optimize cloud costs without compromising reliability. Document operational procedures, runbooks, infrastructure decisions, and recovery processes.<br>Requirements Strong hands-on experience with AWS production environments. Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, deployments, services, ingress, scaling, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing, security groups, firewalls, private/public networking, and HTTP traffic flow. Experience operating Postgre SQL in production, including performance troubleshooting, backups, monitoring, and connection-related issues. Job Description<br><br>The Protection Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising, testing, commissioning, and maintaining protection systems in substations, power plants, and transmission/distribution networks. The role ensures reliable operation of protection schemes, compliance with standards, and safe execution of site works.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Review of contractors’ design drawings and Design approval. Will be responsible for review of inspection & testing procedure, FAT/SAT formats, method statements. Verify relay setting calculations for existing and new protection devices. Verify adequacy checks for current and voltage transformer calculations. Witnessing the testing and commissioning of all protection equipment and ensuring the protection and control philosophy is correctly implemented at site as per client specification. Being well versed with the protection devices of major OEMS -Siemens, GE(Alstom) and ABB, frequently assists the client for implementation of important protection like Cable Differential/Distance, Transformer Differential & REF, Bus bar Differential (Low Impedance and High Impedance) and Reactor Differential. Ensuring all protection and control signals are configured to substation SCADA(IEC61850) and Nation Control Centre (IEC104). Witnessing the testing of Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) schemes for Transformer and Reactor. Verify protection and control schematics based on protection requirement. Troubleshooting of the faults in the substations related to protection and control and providing corrective actions to client. Review of method statements submitted by the contractor to ensure safe and reliable protection stability testing of the Cable, Transformer, Reactor and Busbar<br><br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Power Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 6 years of experience in protection and control engineering (substations / transmission & distribution / power plants). Hands-on experience with protection relays (Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider, SEL, etc.). Knowledge of relay coordination, fault analysis, and power system protection schemes (distance, differential, overcurrent, etc.). Familiarity with testing tools (Omicron, Doble, Megger, etc.).
