Summary<br><br>The Director of Sales, Catering & Events is responsible for driving catering and social event revenue growth while supporting the overall Sales & Marketing strategy of the hotel. This leadership role oversees the strategic sales approach for high-value weddings, social celebrations, corporate meetings, incentive groups, and signature events, with a focus on maximizing revenue, strengthening client relationships, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.<br><br>The position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Culinary, Banquets, and Operations teams to develop profitable business opportunities, optimize event performance, and ensure seamless execution from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Revenue Generation & Strategic Sales Leadership<br><br>Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual catering revenue targets through proactive sales strategies and effective account management. Develop and execute a comprehensive catering sales plan to increase market share, attract new business, and maximize revenue opportunities. Generate new business through targeted prospecting, networking, client entertainment, site inspections, FAM trips, industry events, and strategic partnerships. Maintain an active sales pipeline within Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, or equivalent systems at a minimum of three times the assigned revenue goal. Lead negotiations for contracts, menus, pricing, and event details while protecting profitability and adhering to approved commercial guidelines. Identify and maximize ancillary revenue opportunities including audiovisual services, décor, specialty linens, entertainment, and experiential offerings. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.<br><br>Client Relationship Management & Business Development<br><br>Serve as the strategic point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term relationship development. Cultivate strong partnerships with wedding planners, corporate meeting professionals, incentive houses, event agencies, social influencers, and luxury clientele. Lead creative menu consultations, event concept discussions, tastings, and customized proposal presentations. Build client loyalty through proactive communication, personalized service, and consistent follow-through. Secure repeat business, referrals, testimonials, and brand advocacy following successful events.<br><br>Event Planning & Operational Excellence<br><br>Ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ideally a minimum of 14 days prior to event execution. Facilitate weekly BEO review meetings with Banquets, Culinary, Engineering, IT, and operational stakeholders to ensure alignment and flawless delivery. Provide leadership and oversight during critical events, including luxury weddings, VIP functions, corporate galas, and high-profile social occasions. Conduct post-event reviews to evaluate performance, identify improvements, and enhance future guest experiences. Ensure all events reflect the hotel’s brand standards and commitment to exceptional service.<br><br>Team Leadership & Development<br><br>Lead, coach, and develop Catering Sales Managers and Coordinators to achieve individual and team objectives. Establish clear performance expectations, sales goals, and professional development plans. Conduct joint sales calls, client meetings, and site tours to support team capability building. Participate in performance evaluations, talent development initiatives, and succession planning. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing sales culture.<br><br>Financial & Administrative Responsibilities<br><br>Prepare accurate monthly catering forecasts with a minimum 95% accuracy rate. Monitor business pace, conversion rates, revenue performance, and profitability metrics. Manage departmental expenses within approved budgets, including client entertainment, FAM trips, industry events, and sales initiatives. Ensure all contracts, deposits, billing procedures, and documentation comply with hotel policies, legal requirements, and insurance standards. Monitor event profitability through effective management of pricing, concessions, attrition, and damages. Partner with Finance to ensure timely invoicing, final billing accuracy, and collection of outstanding balances.<br><br>Skills & Competencies<br><br>Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans in a luxury hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu engineering, event design, and banquet execution. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage 50+ active event opportunities and priorities simultaneously. Under the authority of the Client HSE-SA/Representative, ensures the export vessel safely transits through the Al Shaheen Field and the mooring/unmooring is executed in a safe and consistent manner as per relevant international and Client standards and in compliance with Al Shaheen Port Regulations and/or anyother Client procedures.<br>General Tasks:Reports to the Company's HSE-SA. Demonstrates an incident-free mindset & shall comply with Company's list of 10 important rules Performs any tasks within the gambit of the contract as delegated by the Company's HSE-SA and / or Company's representative. Is responsible for maintaining up to date JSA’s and risk assessments. When requested, performs inspections of terminal assets as per Terminal procedures. Responsible for common marine team’s activities and performance’s including their adherence towards Company's HSE policies. Is responsible for FSO support boats introduction to the field including all export related procedures and processes Familiarizes and complies with all Company's rules and regulations as stated in the Company's CMS. The<br><br>Examinations and Assessment Lead has overall responsibility for the management<br><br>and operation of the Examinations and Assessment team. The role is accountable<br><br>for the effective planning, delivery, monitoring and review of all examinations<br><br>and assessment activities within the Technical Institute.<br><br>The role<br><br>provides assurance to the Technical Institute Contract & Assurance Manager<br><br>and the Head of the Technical Institute that examinations and assessment are<br><br>being delivered in accordance with a defined, compliant and consistently<br><br>applied assessment strategy covering all training programmes.<br><br>The<br><br>Examinations and Assessment Lead is responsible for management of student data,<br><br>the ongoing review of examinations and assessment operations, the systematic<br><br>collection and analysis of performance data, and the identification of risks,<br><br>trends and improvement actions that impact learner outcomes.<br><br>The role<br><br>ensures that all required assessment policies, procedures and controls are<br><br>implemented and adhered to in accordance with the contractual requirements and<br><br>those of external awarding and regulatory bodies, (e.g. City & Guilds and<br><br>the Ministry of Education and Higher Education).<br><br>Internal<br><br>audits, assessment analysis, moderation outcomes and course performance reports<br><br>will inform decision-making and recommendations. The role works closely with<br><br>the Chief Instructors (Academic and Engineering) to ensure clarity of roles,<br><br>compliance with assessment requirements, and effective communication across<br><br>stakeholders.<br><br>The Examinations and<br><br>Assessment Lead supports continuous improvement activities, contributing to<br><br>corrective actions, preventative measures and the development of customer<br><br>satisfaction and quality performance metrics.<br><br>Core Duties<br><br>Lead and manage the Examinations and Assessment team in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures applicable to people and talent management, and personal health, safety and wellbeing. Own and maintain the Technical Institute Assessment Strategy across all elements of Technical Institute training. Provide Chief Instructors with a forward assessment calendar, including scheduled assessments, re-sit opportunities, and complaints and appeals procedures, in advance of each phase of training. Forecast and plan resource requirements to support the delivery of the assessment calendar and assessment strategy. Identify assessment-related training needs and implement appropriate training and standardisation activities for staff involved in invigilation, marking, checking, or assessment delivery. Capture and maintain sufficient assessment data to enable analysis of factors affecting student performance, including environment, materials, instructors, and assessments. Ensure all examinations and assessment policies, processes, and procedures are regularly reviewed, controlled, and available for centre approval and accreditation activities. Ensure examinations and assessments are applied consistently and uniformly across the Technical Institute against a clearly defined and commonly understood assessment framework. Plan and oversee the delivery of examinations, including reasonable adjustments and arrangements for students where deemed appropriate/necessary. Produce and provide pass lists and student class lists to the Contract & Assurance Manager following placement testing and aptitude testing conducted as part of student selection and enrolment activities. Support the Qatar Armed Forces and the Technical Institute Management Team in responding to student enquiries, providing accurate information and advice, and following up on assessment-related issues or concerns. Be responsible for the preparation of examinations and assessments, including room set up, attendance register, provision of seating plans and stationery as well as ensuring there is sufficient invigilation support arranged.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>Competencies:<br><br>Knowledge Considered Essential Includes<br><br>Degree-level qualification in Education (or closely related field). Demonstrable knowledge of examination and assessment principles, including formative and summative assessment at secondary or tertiary level. Demonstrable experience in managing examinations and assessments, including scheduling, invigilation, integrity/security, marking, moderation and results processing. Experience of training, assessment or programme delivery with international students, preferably within the Middle East or similar intercultural environment.<br><br>Knowledge Considered Desirable Includes<br><br>Understanding of Military Trade Training contexts and the specific demands of technical/vocational training for military personnel. Knowledge of BAE Systems’ Approach to Training (BSAT) and/or Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) models. Knowledge of standardised English assessments (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, or military language proficiency standards) and their alignment to CEFR or similar frameworks. Understanding of vocational/technical qualification frameworks (e.g. BTEC, City & Guilds, national TVET frameworks, apprenticeship standards). Awareness of relevant accreditation and quality assurance frameworks (e.g. national qualification authorities, international QA bodies). <section><p class="heading jdMain">الوصف الوظيفي</p><p class="heading">الأدوار والمسؤوليات</p><div class="paragraph"><p><b>نظرة عامة </b>KEO هو مشروع إبداعي، حيث الابتكار هو أسلوب حياة. نحن مزودون بموارد فريدة من الخدمات الشاملة لنقل العملاء من الإلهام إلى التصور ثم إلى تحقيق التخطيط، التصميم أو تسليم المشروع في البيئات المبنية والطبيعية. لأكثر من 60 عامًا قد قادنا برؤية، مساهمين في العديد من أكثر المشاريع طموحاً في العالم، أماكن أيقونية، تجارب مميزة ومجتمعات مزدهرة. كص firm متكاملة ومرنة في AEP/PMCM، تُعترف KEO من ENR بأنها من بين أفضل 225 شركة تصميم دولية وأحد أفضل 20 شركة PM/CM دولية. كما تم تصنيفها من قبل World Architecture كأكبر شركة معماريّة عالمية من بين 57، وأول شركة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط في WA100 2024. ندعوك للانضمام إلينا. لماذا؟ عندما تنضم إلى KEO، ستكتشف أكثر من مجرد وظيفة؛ ستجد بيئة داعمة تعزز تطويرك المهني من خلال التنقل العالمي الداخلي وتطوير المسار المهني وتفعل ذلك ضمن ثقافة تدعم الصحة والرفاهية على مستوى الشركة من خلال خدمات الاستشارة عند الطلب وعيادات مكان العمل المنتظمة. ستُدعى للاحتفال بفعاليات المجتمع مثل أيام الرياضة، والركض الممتع، فرق رياضية داخلية وتنظيف الشواطئ. بالإضافة إلى حزمة المزايا التنافسية لديك، سيكون لديك وصول إلى مجموعة من السياسات التي تشمل ترتيبات العمل الهجينة، رعاية شخصية، رعاية دراسية، مكافآت إحالة الموظفين، برامج التوجيه والتدريب، ودورات تعلم داخلية واسعة عند الطلب.</p><p>المسؤوليات نتوقع أن تحقق النجاح في هذا الدور يشمل؛</p><ul><li>مراقبة وإنفاذ معايير السلامة بما يتوافق مع نظام إدارة الصحة والسلامة في KEO ومتطلبات العميل.</li><li>مراجعة وفحص مناطق العمل لتحديد احتمال وقوع مخاطر السلامة.</li><li>مراقبة وضمان التزام الموظفين على الموقع بارتداء معدات الحماية الشخصية، ارتداء الخوذات وأحذية الحماية، تشغيل معدات البناء بشكل آمن واتباع سياسات السلامة في KEO.</li><li>إجراء فحوص يومية للمشروعات لضمان الالتزام وعند الاقتضاء تقديم توصيات للتغيير.</li><li>في حالات الطوارئ تحديد سبب الحادث والتحقيق فيه، وتوثيق تقرير وتقديم توصيات لمنع حدوثه في المستقبل.</li><li>تطوير وتنفيذ سياسات السلامة اللازمة لتقليل تكاليف الحوادث.</li><li>تنظيم السياسات المحددة مع استقصاء آراء المدراء والعمال.</li><li>توفير تدريب لموظفي KEO على السلامة وفق متطلبات OSHA.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">الملف المرشح المرغوب</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>حتى ننجح في هذا الفرص الديناميكية، نتوقع أن مسيرتك المهنية حتى الآن ستشمل حد أدنى من 10 سنوات خبرة، 5 سنوات في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، سنتان كحد أدنى من الخبرة ذات الصلة - الطرق والجسور والطرق السريعة في دور مشابه. يجب أن تكون شهادة HSE في متناول اليد لإثبات أساس جيد لمعرفة HSE. مهم - وفقاً لقوانين التوطين في المملكة، سيُعتبر المرشحون من جنسية المملكة العربية السعودية أولوية.</p><p></p></section>
