Department: NUQ Production & Digital Media<br><br>Salary/Grade: ITS/79<br><br>The Sr Digital Media Video Specialist at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU_Q) will be responsible for the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of complex media systems, including photography, digital cinema, TV broadcast, and multimedia productions, under limited or no supervision. Sr The Digital Media Video Specialist will provide in-class support, including assisting and training faculty and students in the use of facilities and equipment such as Canon Cinema cameras, RED Cinema cameras, DSLRs, ENG systems, and advanced lighting equipment, including Aladdin Bi-flex, ARRI Skypanels, and Apurture COB light fixtures. The candidate will provide close mentoring and instruction to students in the use of production equipment to complete their course assignments. In addition to in-class support, the Sr Digital Media Video Specialist will lead and provide advanced production support for the department’s portfolio of video projects, including training videos, university event coverage, and social media content creation. This includes filming with cinema cameras, gimbals, and sliders. The candidate will be expected to edit video projects using various programs in the Adobe Creative Suite, such as Premiere Pro and After Effects. Work schedules will be flexible and may require evening and/or weekend hours.<br><br>Essential Duties And Responsibilities<br><br> Assist and provide support in the day-to-day operation of NU-Q media production facilities and equipment including still photography, digital cinema cameras (Canon, Sony, GoPro, RED), studio and field lighting and grip equipment (Arri, Aputure, ETC), video servers, monitors, audio mixer consoles and microphones, conversion devices, switchers, distribution equipment, radio, TV and news productions, as well as performing diagnostic functions, implementing maintenance actions and installation of the equipment. Supports the operation in the production equipment storage room (The Cage) as needed including equipment check-ins and check-outs, and the Web Checkout ticketing system. Lead, plan, shoot, and edit video content for a wide variety of departmental needs, including live events, social media, academic conferences, and other institutional needs. Provides in-class training and orientation to students, faculty, and staff for all media production facilities including individual and group training sessions as needed. Supports NU-Q faculty in the preparation of course material and/or technology requirements of classes when requested. Supervises the maintenance of Stations / pipelines / LBVs / SBVs and ensures faults are speedily attended to for minimum outage of pipelines and stations. The job holder assumes the full responsibility for the Gas distribution of his assigned area. Plans and supervises all aspects of Transmission and Distribution in his assigned area. Any wrong decision could result in normally shutdown of any one the consumers equivalent to QR.2 Million/ day or shutdown of Gas distribution, which could result in revenue losses and severe downstream effect to power stations supply. The effect is also felt in all downstream consumers like QAPCO/QAFCO/QAFAC/QPRefinery/QASCO/QEWC,QCHEM,QATARGAS,RASGAS AND QGEWC, Al Khaleej and Dolphin. Participates in developing and upgrading various production and export plans by liaising with upstream gas producers, related Onshore and Offshore functions and downstream consumers. Supervises and coordinates the distribution of gas through stations and associated pipelines &amp; its distribution to local customers. Ensures that gas is distributed safely and efficiently and that maximum use is made of available resources. Develops and directs safe working practices in all areas and ensures all regulations are adhered to. Review designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required. Collaborates with project team in review of project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules. Leads weekly Civil Structural meetings, reviews progress reports and required checking procedures. Initiate, manage and supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget. Organise and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of Civil Structural discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule. Understands and applies the Project Execution Plan (PEP) requirements - make-up and application (including the Engineering Plan). Reviews data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, and recommend actions. Crafts recommendations and reviews final documentation prior to customer approval. Carry out the Surface preparation work such as - cleaning preparation, scrapping, fresh water washing, degreasing, power tooling, & surface coating (painting) etc. as per the work instructions / directive of supervisor in order to meet clients' and yard's requirements for timely delivery of projects.<br>Key Accountabilities:l . Perform job-related activities such as surface cleaning & preparation, scrapping, fresh water washing, degreasing, power tooling, touch up painting of prepared surface using roller or brush & surface coating (painting) in line with defined standard operating procedures and quality standards. Apply the corrosion protection process to hull, decks, superstructure, chain lockers, tank coatings, cargo holds, structural steel works, pipelines & miscellaneous items. Ensure appropriate use of tools and machinery, preventing excessive wear and tear and breakdowns. Prevent wastage of materials (painting materials), consumables and report any malfunction of tools and machinery to immediate supervisor. Maintain housekeeping of work place to required standards. Takes initiative to pursue self-development through on-job-training/education. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work. <h2 class="h5">وصف الوظيفة</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span>مدير الهندسة المشروع هو قائد ومدير لأنشطة الهندسة والتصميم متعددة التخصصات لمشاريع GES+ الخاصة بشركة أرامكو السعودية.<br> لضمان مطابقة مخرجات الهندسة مع معايير أرامكو السعودية وجداول المشروع والميزانيات ومتطلبات الجودة.<br> التنسيق مع العميل وفريق إدارة المشروع والمرخّصين والبائعين والتوريدات وفرق التنفيذ.<br> توفير القيادة الفنية عبر جميع تخصصات الهندسة وضمان الحلول الفورية لمسائل الهندسة طوال تنفيذ المشروع.<br> المسؤوليات الرئيسية قيادة فرق الهندسة متعددة التخصصات التي تغطي العمليات، الميكانيك، الأنابيب، المدنية، الكهرباء والاتصالات، والاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية.<br> إدارة تحقق FEED والهندسة التفصيلية وتطوير التصميم ومخرجات IFC.<br> ضمان امتثال جميع أنشطة الهندسة لمعايير أرامكو السعودية والمواصفات والإجراءات.<br> التنسيق بين واجهات الهندسة مع العميل وفريق إدارة المشروع والمرخّصين والبائعين والتوريدات وفرق التنفيذ.<br> متابعة تقدم الهندسة وساعات العمل واستخدام الموارد وجداول التسليم.<br> قيادة مراجعات التصميم ومراجعات القابلية للبناء وHAZOPs وورش العمل الفنية.<br> إدارة الاستفسارات الفنية (TQs)، وتغيّرات التصميم، ومخاطر الهندسة، والمسائل الفنية.<br> تقديم الدعم الهندسي طوال مراحل المشتريات والبناء والتشغيل.</span> </div>
