<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Process Manager – Testing &amp; Commissioning is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all Testing &amp; Commissioning (T&amp;C) activities for the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure safe start-up, stable operation, and full compliance with contractual, process, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures successful performance testing and final handover of the STP to the Client.</p><p>Testing &amp; Commissioning Planning</p><ul><li><p>Develop and implement the STP Testing &amp; Commissioning strategy, sequencing, and schedules.</p></li><li><p>Prepare and review commissioning plans, method statements, ITPs, and checklists for all STP process units.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate commissioning activities in line with construction completion and system readiness.</p></li></ul><p>STP Process Commissioning</p><ul><li><p>Lead commissioning of STP process units, including but not limited to:</p></li><li><p>Inlet works (screens, grit removal)</p></li><li><p>Biological treatment systems (ASP, MBR, MBBR, SBR or equivalent)</p></li><li><p>Secondary clarification</p></li><li><p>Tertiary treatment (filtration, disinfection – UV / Chlorination)</p></li><li><p>Sludge treatment systems (thickening, digestion, dewatering)</p></li><li><p>Odour control systems</p></li><li><p>Verify process performance against design parameters, effluent quality limits, and contractual KPIs.</p></li></ul><p>MEICA &amp; Interface Management</p><ul><li><p>Coordinate commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control &amp; Automation (MEICA) systems.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper integration of process equipment with PLC/SCADA systems.</p></li><li><p>Manage vendor and package unit commissioning activities.</p></li></ul><p>Performance Testing &amp; Optimization</p><ul><li><p>Lead wet commissioning, process start-up, ramp-up, and performance testing.</p></li><li><p>Optimize biological and chemical dosing processes to achieve stable operation.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot process upsets and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.</p></li></ul><p>Coordination &amp; Stakeholder Management</p><ul><li><p>Interface with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Operations, Vendors, Client, and Consultant.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate regulatory inspections, approvals, and acceptance testing.</p></li><li><p>Support Operator training and readiness for takeover.</p></li></ul><p>HSE &amp; Quality Compliance</p><ul><li><p>Ensure all commissioning activities comply with HSE plans, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.</p></li><li><p>Ensure commissioning complies with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.</p></li></ul><p>Documentation &amp; Handover</p><ul><li><p>Ensure completion and approval of commissioning dossiers, test reports, and as-built documentation.</p></li><li><p>Support preparation and finalization of Operation &amp; Maintenance Manuals.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate final handover of the STP to the Client and Operations team.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.</p></li><li><p>Commissioning or wastewater treatment certifications are an advantage.</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Experience</p><ul><li><p>Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Testing &amp; Commissioning of STP / WWTP projects.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience commissioning biological wastewater treatment processes.</p></li><li><p>Experience in EPC / Design &amp; Build STP projects is mandatory.</p></li></ul><p>Skills &amp; Competencies</p><ul><li><p>Strong technical expertise in wastewater treatment processes and plant start-up.</p></li><li><p>Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under live plant conditions.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multi-discipline teams and complex interfaces.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
