We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our supervision team. The successful candidate must have 5-10 years of Quantity Surveying experience in consultancy firms, with a proven track record in budget control and handling variations. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with 5–8 years of relevant experience in building construction projects in Qatar, preferably with strong exposure to villas, residential compounds, luxury mansions, and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities, including quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost control, variations, valuations, subcontractor payments, and final accounts. Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract Duties Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and project documents. Prepare and review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and pricing schedules. Assist in preparing tender documents and cost estimates. Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works to identify discrepancies and omissions. Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Assist in analyzing project costs and preparing commercial comparisons. Coordinate with the Estimation, Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams. Assist in identifying cost risks, exclusions, and opportunities during the tender stage. Post-Contract Duties Monitor project quantities, costs, and budgets against approved estimates. Prepare and evaluate variations, change orders, and claims. Prepare interim payment applications and valuations. Review subcontractor interim payments, invoices, and supporting documents. Maintain accurate records of project quantities and costs. Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and cost forecasts. Support project teams in cost control and value engineering. Measure completed works and verify quantities at site. Assist in preparing and closing subcontractor and main contract final accounts. Monitor project progress and ensure commercial records are properly maintained. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.5–8 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in Qatar. Strong experience in building construction, villas, residential, luxury mansions, and fit-out works. Good knowledge of Civil, Architectural, Interior Fit-out, and MEP works. Good understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity measurement, valuations, variations, and cost control. Familiarity with Qatar construction market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors. Good knowledge of construction contracts; FIDIC experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying/estimation software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet project and tender deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification such as MRICS or equivalent is an advantage. Previous experience with luxury residential, high-end villas, private residences, and fit-out projects. Experience working with main contractors or construction companies in Qatar. Qatar driving license is an advantage. <p>Responsible for the preparation/reviewing Bills of Quantities and Ensure contract document processing procedures are completed in a timely manner Responsible for reviewing and processing payments, variations, and claims Track, manage and ensure commercial actions are completed in a timely manner Review and recommend the accounts for Contractors &amp; Consultants as per Contract document. Supply all relevant information to the Contracts Manager/Commercial Manager for review at the specified intervals set Assist the Contracts Manager with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time. Arrange and prepare the prequalification submittums and material submittals for getting consultant &amp; client approvals Prepare cost reports to monitor project budget Involve for prequalification process. Liaise with Project Directors/ Project Development Managers for pre-contract QS works and propose solutions to meet client/project obligations. Review and certify contractoru2019s &amp; consultantu2019s interim payments for payment.
