Primary Purpose Of The Job<br><br>The Head, Project Engineering serves as the Senior Discipline Engineering Authority for the Infrastructure & Civil scope of the Qatar Energy MIC Business Park Major Project. The role leads and governs all discipline engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, engineering integrity, and full alignment with project objectives. It provides strategic engineering project management to deliver safe, high‑quality, timely, and cost‑effective solutions in accordance with corporate standards and industry best practices.<br><br>Required Experience And Skills<br><br>Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in Infrastructure & Civil projects within the Oil & Gas industry, predominantly in major project execution. At least 10 years of proven experience leading discipline engineering teams on major projects, including a minimum of 5 years in team management or an equivalent leadership role. Strong background in project management, discipline engineering, construction, and supervision, with demonstrated capability across all stages of the project lifecycle. Extensive experience applying industry best practices and working with company systems, processes, and engineering standards. Highly developed leadership, interpersonal, communication, conflict‑resolution, and presentation skills. Excellent proficiency in English, with strong capabilities in report writing, presentation delivery, and leading multi‑disciplinary meetings. Demonstrated ability to manage project time, cost, and quality within complex, multi‑project environments.<br><br>Educational Qualifications<br><br>B. Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University, higher degree would be advantageous. Membership of a recognized professional engineering association/institution. PMP certification would be advantageous.
