<p><b>Position Overview</b><br>The Career Advisor is a student-facing role responsible for delivering career counseling, leading skill-building workshops, and managing digital platforms. The Career Advisor provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support for career events and data collection initiatives, ensuring all programming aligns with departmental strategies, institutional goals, and evolving global market trends. <br><b>Career Counseling and Coaching - 40%</b><br>• Counsel, advise, and support students regarding career exploration, career decision-making and other career-related concerns. Utilizes both a theoretical and a practical understanding of career development to assist students in assessing their career goals and gaining skills to enhance their employability.<br>• Develops action plans with students to match interests, values and skills towards achieving professional pursuits.<br>• Provides career counseling to students and alumni through administration and interpretation of various vocational tests, career exploration tools and inventories during individual or group career coaching sessions. Uses a student-centered approach to help students identify their strengths, refine their skills and articulate their value to employers. Assists with resume development, cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile review, and application materials.<br>• Provides guidance on graduate school applications and mock interviews, and refers students to appropriate university resources when needed. <br>• Offers career transition support including salary negotiation coaching.<br><b>Career Program Development - 45%</b><br>• Develops and delivers a comprehensive program targeting students’ professional development throughout their undergraduate education.<br>• Creates and presents career-related workshops for career exploration and career readiness skills to ensure preparedness for job fairs and graduate school options.<br>• Works collaboratively with faculty, student organizations and student class representatives to develop tailored class presentations and targeted career readiness programming.<br>• Handles student focused workshops around: resume and CV writing, elevator pitch, technology tools utilization (ex. generative AI) in career preparation, and interview preparedness, and other skill-building content.<br>• Organizes annual events to support career exploration and graduate school exploration: Graduate School series and Tartan Talks with Alumni.<br>• Supports career mentoring programs to connect students with industry partners and alumni.<br>• Trains and Coaches students in preparation for the Internship Showcase and related career skills presentations/events.<br>• Supports the creation of content and marketing materials across print, digital, and social media platforms to maximize student engagement. <br><b>Data Collection and Technology Management - 10%</b><br>• Support the collection of first-destination student employment outcomes for recent graduates. <br>• Manage and optimize career management systems and online career exploration resources (i.e. Handshake, VMock, CMUniverse, etc.).<br>• Review student resumes and collate data for the CMUQ Student Resume Book (twice a year)<br>• Maintain and update internal career resources and career assessment tools and digital resource library.<br>• Coordinate implementation of new career technologies and resource tools and disseminate to community<br>• Assist with designing and implementing assessment surveys to support continuous improvement. <br>Service to Community – 5%<br>• Contributes to the efforts of the Student Affairs team. Job Description<br><br>To support effective operation, coordination, control, and continual improvement of Change Enablement and Release Management across in-scope services. The role helps ensure that changes and releases are properly recorded, assessed, authorized, scheduled, communicated, deployed, validated, supported, and closed in accordance with approved procedures. Working under the guidance of the Practice Manager or Senior Consultant, the role contributes to service stability, business continuity, release quality, auditability, and timely delivery across traditional, cloud, Agile, Dev Ops, and CI/CD environments.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br> Support the day-to-day administration and consistent execution of Change Enablement, Release Management, and related Deployment Management procedures, templates, workflows, and controls. Produce regular operational reports and dashboards covering change success, failed and emergency changes, schedule adherence, approval cycle time, release frequency, rollback, post-release incidents, outstanding actions, and data-quality exceptions. Coordinate supplier and third-party changes and releases, confirming alignment with contractual controls, maintenance windows, evidence requirements, service levels, and customer communications. Support Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, cloud, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment activities while ensuring required approvals, traceability, security, segregation of duties, and operational-readiness controls are followed. Maintain practice documents, work instructions, change models, standard-change records, calendars, checklists, communication templates, and knowledge content under document-control requirements. Assist with record-quality reviews, process compliance checks, audit evidence preparation, and follow-up of identified gaps or corrective actions. Identify recurring delays, control gaps, data-quality issues, avoidable manual work, and automation opportunities, and contribute to practical continual-improvement initiatives.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Required Education, Knowledge, and Certifications:<br><br> Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, SW engineering, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline. <li>Service passion for luxury hospitality and have an eye for details.</li>
<li>Preferably with experience in luxury hotel, resort or similar.</li>
<li>At least 6 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.</li>
<li>Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.</li>
<li>Ability to read, speak and write English.</li>
<li>Service passion for luxury hospitality and have an eye for details.</li>
