The program focuses on the principles of equity, effectiveness, and diversity in its curriculum and in its recruitment of students and faculty members. The program also seeks to graduate promising administrative professionals and experts who possess technical and administrative skills, in addition to promoting research and scientific production in both Arabic and English, contributing to the enrichment of the field of public affairs.<br><br>Job Summary/Purpose<br><br>The School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy invites applications for a faculty position in Public Administration at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.<br><br>The program seeks to attract researchers with a strong, coherent, and internationally oriented research agenda in the fields of public administration, public sector, governance, public policy, public sector reform, or related areas, with clear excellence in quantitative and empirical research.<br><br>The successful candidate will actively contribute to enhancing the program's research output, its international scientific presence, supervising Master's and Doctoral students, and developing the program's research environment and culture. Research addressing contemporary challenges facing the public sector and governance, especially in the Arab region and in comparative frameworks, is of particular interest.<br><br>Proficiency in Arabic is required, along with the ability to teach, research, and communicate academically and efficiently in English.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Develop and maintain an active and ambitious research agenda in the fields of public administration, public sector management, governance, public policy, or related fields. Produce and publish high-quality research in recognized, peer-reviewed international scientific journals. Teach graduate courses in statistics, quantitative research methods, and applied data analysis, in addition to specialized courses in the candidate's areas of expertise. Supervise Master's and Doctoral students. Develop an ongoing research path that includes projects and papers in progress, and seek competitive external research funding. Contribute to collaborative and interdisciplinary research within and outside the Institute, including research that uses data relevant to Qatar, the GCC countries, and the Arab region. Participate actively in research seminars, conferences, workshops, and other scientific activities that enhance the international research presence and reputation of the program. Contribute to curriculum and program development, serve the program, the school, and the Institute, and participate in academic and institutional life.<br><br>Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:<br><br>Applicants must:<br><br>Hold a PhD in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field. Possess a record of high-quality scientific publications commensurate with the required academic rank. Have the ability and willingness to teach statistics, quantitative research methods, and applied data analysis at the graduate level, alongside specialized courses in public administration. Have a strong record or potential to obtain competitive external research funding and develop collaborative research projects. Be capable of supervising Master's and Doctoral students, particularly those conducting empirical and quantitative research, and contributing to the development of a strong research environment at the graduate level. Be proficient in Arabic and capable of researching, teaching, and communicating academically and efficiently in English.
