We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team, taking responsibility for the health, wellbeing and medical care of all students and contributing to a safe, nurturing and healthy school environment.</p><p>The role: We seek an individual to join as School Nurse where your focus will be:</p><ul><li>Managing the day-to-day operation of the school medical room, ensuring it is safe, well-stocked and fit for purpose at all times</li><li>Providing prompt, professional first aid and nursing care to students and staff who are injured or unwell during the school day</li><li>Assessing, monitoring and responding to student health needs, referring to external providers or emergency services as appropriate</li><li>Administering prescribed medication in accordance with individual healthcare plans, school policy and Qatar regulatory requirements</li><li>Maintaining accurate, confidential medical records and individual healthcare plans for all students, including allergy and chronic condition management</li><li>Acting as a key member of the school's safeguarding team, supporting the identification and reporting of welfare concerns</li><li>Developing and delivering health education and wellbeing initiatives for students across all phases</li><li>Communicating proactively and professionally with parents, staff and external medical providers regarding student health matters</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>Registered Nurse qualification (RN) with current, valid registration with the NMC or equivalent regulatory body</li><li>Paediatric nursing qualification or significant paediatric nursing experience</li><li>Current Paediatric First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) / AED certifications</li><li>Minimum 2 years' post-registration nursing experience, ideally in a paediatric or school setting</li><li>Understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements in an international context</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively with students, parents and staff from diverse backgrounds</li><li>Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills desirable</li><li>Experience working in Qatar or the Middle East, and knowledge of Qatar Ministry of Health regulations (desirable)</li></ul><p>Please see full job description here</p><p></p></section>
