Corporate Communications and Content Specialist<br>Role Summary Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) is seeking an experienced and versatile Corporate Communications and Content Specialist to join its Marketing & Communications Department in Doha. The role will support a wide range of corporate and strategic communication activities across GORD and its various programs, centers and initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Director, senior management, technical teams and external stakeholders to transform complex information into clear, accurate and engaging communications.<br>This is a role for someone who combines strong writing and research skills with excellent organization, judgment and project ownership. Success in the position means being able to understand subjects quickly, retrieve and organize information effectively, manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, and consistently deliver high-quality materials with minimal supervision. <li>Witness, verify, and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC, and Cathodic Protection equipment and systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicable international codes and standards, and client requirements</li>
<li>Inspect installation of transformers, switchgears, MCCs, distribution panels, UPS systems, cables, junction boxes, field instruments, control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), and associated equipment</li>
<li>Verify cable laying, cable routing, termination, glanding, earthing/grounding, lighting, and electrical equipment installation activities</li>
<li>Inspect instrumentation installations including impulse tubing, instrument hook-ups, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, junction boxes, and marshalling cabinets</li>
<li>Witness and monitor testing activities include insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, grounding measurements, loop checking, calibration, functional testing, and system acceptance tests</li>
<li>Verify material receiving inspections and ensure compliance of electrical and instrumentation equipment with approved specifications and material certifications</li>
<li>Review inspection records, test reports, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for completeness and compliance</li>
<li>Coordinate inspection activities with construction, commissioning, contractor, personnel to ensure timely execution and resolution of quality issues</li>
<li>Identify, document, and report non-conformities, and follow up corrective actions through close-out</li>
<li>Ensure measuring and test equipment are calibrated and suitable for use</li>
<li>Ensure inspection records are maintained and support the implementation of the Project Quality Management System and HSE requirements</li>

<li>Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation/Telecom degree and/or diploma with experience in quality Control in multi-discipline construction and commissioning environment. Preferably having formal training in QC and membership with recognized or other professional institutions</li>
<li>Minimum 10 years of experience for Bachelor's degree holders or 15 years for Diploma holders in QA/QC inspection experience in Electrical and Instrumentation works within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial construction projects; GCC experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Preferred to have Hazardous Area knowledge and Compatibility of Ex-Inspection in Dangerous zones</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment</li>

<p>Plan, coordinate, monitor inventory and administer materials and equipment spares associated with all offshore assets to ensure the availability to meet operation and maintenance requirements. Interface with multiple offshore assets handling queries with conflicting priorities and working under time pressure. Expedite materials, in compliance with Company Policy and Procedure, within limited period notice. Ensure availability of materials and spares ahead of time for planned maintenance or shutdowns activities, within an identified time frame. Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards. Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is a condition of employment for expatriate employees. Maintain spares and material records and issue reports as required internally and externally to discipline supervisor/co-coordinator for review and discuss priorities with all parties to formulate a plan, review and report on work progress ensuring operational alignment. Provide plans and create reservation for stock item, Direct Materials Requisitions/MDG request ahead of time to ensure the timely delivery of all materials related to shut down and minor projects activities offshore. Compile detailed plans for offshore shutdowns including Minutes of Meetings, MS project, photos and any resources available to build the plan. Prepare lessoned learned /achievement reports after Shutdowns for further improvements and recommendations. Participate in meetings with the Supply team to control and update all offshore materials movements and represent the Maintenance Department in meetings with management representatives of other ventures or contractor companies to discuss materials issues. Apply knowledge of product and manufacturing process to provide details on the number of materials required to complete job orders, assuring materials are ordered with the appropriate specification and quality standards and documented to comply with company practices and received to meet offshore requirements. Expedite internal transfer of materials to meet production schedule and coordinates with Engineering Department for Quality Assurance/Quality Control of materials. Review all documents provided by vendor to ensure they meet Company minimum requirements and undertake required follow up to close-out with vendors. Co-ordinate for resolution of Material Discrepancy Report (MDR) item to manage the maintenance schedule. Coordinate new valve testing or overall/turnaround of valves and organize mobilization of materials, tools and equipments to meet the shutdown/projects timeline. Review the material requirement for work order in backlog category and arrange the availability of the material for timely completion of activities as stipulated in assigned work order.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Qualifications _x000D_ Higher National Diploma (HND) in Operations discipline .
