Job description:<br><br>JOB PURPOSE:To perform a wide range of duties relating to the mechanical installation, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment and fixtures to ensure their efficient operation at minimum downtime complying with EHS Guidelines with a focus on continuous improvement. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Tackles all mechanical equipment breakdowns and planned/preventive/predictive maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision within the given time constraint minimizing production downtime. Technically assesses the requirement of allocated jobs and selects the necessary tools and equipment to complete the work. Ensures that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with the safety procedures and plant operational requirements. Using the computerized maintenance system (SAP), orders the spare parts from warehouse and maintains records of all maintenance work completed. Monitors any repeated breakdown and recommends/completes proper modification to resolve the problem. Identifies and reports any abnormalities. Initiates repairs/replacements/tests/ assembles worn out or failed components/parts. Reports to supervisor and takes necessary action to overhaul/replace parts, leaving the working area clean. Performs various works related to welding and fabrication. Mentors newly joined mechanics in order to equip them with the plant & equipment knowledge necessary to carry out maintenance work. Provide an ongoing review of objectives, Risks, KPIs and take actions for development and improvement. Ensure that the Department's plans and performance are within the approved budget and timescales by reviewing progress reports on the Department's performance as and when needed. Ensure that highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity are maintained during the execution of the responsibilities.<br><br>Operational Responsibilities<br><br>Advise and support the technical office manager by providing expert technical, strategic an operational advice on all aspects of Asset management (Roads). Advise on improvements on risk management, operational output and performance to achieve organization strategic goals related to roads assets. Represent technical office manager in Assets meeting related to (Roads) issues with technical experts with internal and external stakeholders. Support in building complete KPis for Operations and assets management (Roads). Review and advice technical office manager for issues related to Assets Affairs and handover process and support decision making process within technical office.<br><br>About You<br><br>Mandatory requirements<br><br>University degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering or Business or equivalent. Chartered status or Professional License from internationally recognized professional institutions or organizations. Minimum of 20 years postgraduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes. Preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience, 15 years in similar position, and 5 years in Qatar and / or the Gulf region. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong problem solving skills, relationship management and communication skills.<br><br>Desirable Requirements<br><br>Masters degree in project management, road operations , KPI or strategy. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Arabic.<br><br>Skills And Competencies<br><br>Knowledge in the project management methodologies. Deep understanding of Operations performance in roads. Knowledge in building enterprise dashboard solutions.
