Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar for a Diesel Pump and Injector Technician. The technician will inspect, diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble diesel fuel pumps and injectors using appropriate tools and testing equipment. Daily tasks include performing calibration and testing, identifying and replacing faulty components, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, coordinating with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize jobs, and providing technical support and guidance on diesel system issues. The technician will also help keep the workshop organized, follow health and safety procedures, and occasionally support training of junior team members. Qualifications Supervisory Skills and Team Management skills to oversee workflows, support colleagues, and coordinate tasks in the workshop. Analytical Skills and Technical Support capabilities to diagnose faults, interpret test results, and assist in resolving complex diesel system issues. Strong Communication skills to interact clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers regarding repair status and technical findings. Proven experience repairing and maintaining diesel pumps and injectors, including calibration, testing, and use of specialized diagnostic tools. Vocational diploma or technical certification in automotive engineering, diesel mechanics, or a related field; additional manufacturer-specific training is an advantage. Understanding of safety standards and best practices for working with diesel systems and workshop equipment. Ability to read technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagrams, and to follow structured maintenance procedures. Previous experience in a similar workshop or service center environment in the automotive or industrial sector is preferred.
