About The Role<br><br>This position sits within the investments function of a global asset manager, working alongside the Investments Manager to assess opportunities, execute transactions, and monitor an existing multi-asset portfolio. The role spans the full investment lifecycle, from initial research and financial modelling through to performance reporting and investment committee support.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Partner with the Investments Manager to assess investment opportunities, execute transactions, and monitor portfolio performance across asset classes. Conduct market research, financial modelling, valuations, due diligence, investment structuring, and legal framework reviews. Provide analytical and research support across listed equity, fixed income, real estate, private equity, alternative investments, funds, and direct investment opportunities. Build, review, and maintain financial models for both existing holdings and prospective investments. Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies and asset classes; analyse future investment opportunities. Perform valuation, investment return, and sensitivity analysis. Conduct performance and market analysis, manage system inputs and outputs, and produce custom reports. Maintain and develop Excel-based systems infrastructure and spreadsheets. Support the preparation of investment committee presentations. Liaise with investment and brokerage firms, and utilise Bloomberg, Reuters, and Refinitiv Eikon for data collection, funds analysis, and market research. Place trading orders when the Investment Manager is unavailable. Coordinate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accounting books are accurately maintained and reconciled. Support annual and recurring audit reviews. Participate in special projects and carry out other duties as assigned.<br><br>Skills & Experience<br><br>Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Professional qualification: Significant progress toward a CFA, MBA, or another credential relevant to investment management is strongly preferred. Experience: 6–8 years of total work experience, with a minimum of 4 years of recent experience in asset or investment management, corporate finance, equity research, or investment banking. Geographic exposure: Experience covering Middle East and/or global markets. Technical skills: Advanced MS Excel, including transaction modelling; proficiency in Word and Power Point; hands-on experience with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and Refinitiv Eikon. Language: Business-fluent English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred.
