Position - Senior Estimation Engineer (Civil & MEP - Infrastructure) Specialization - Infrastructure, Road, Utilities (Wet & Dry)<br>Job Summary The Senior Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing tender estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), pricing and technical proposals ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with project requirements.<br>Duties and Responsibilities<br>Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for road and infrastructure projects using BOQs, drawings, and Ashghal specifications. Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs, productivity analysis, and resource planning for tenders. Role Description The Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar, with some flexibility for work from home. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining QA/QC procedures and standards across construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include planning and performing inspections and tests, reviewing drawings and method statements, monitoring materials and workmanship, and documenting non-conformities with clear corrective actions. The engineer will coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues, support audits, and prepare detailed quality reports. The role also involves continuous improvement of quality systems, training site personnel on QA/QC requirements, and supporting handover documentation. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance skills, including developing and implementing quality plans, procedures, and documentation in construction or engineering projects. Candidates should possess practical Quality Control skills, including executing inspections, supervising tests, and verifying materials and workmanship against project standards. Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills, including planning and conducting internal and external audits, reporting findings, and following up on corrective and preventive actions. Candidates should possess Quality Management skills, including familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), performance metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies. Candidates should possess Inspection skills, including interpreting technical drawings and specifications, using inspection tools, and preparing clear inspection reports. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent technical qualification. Experience in construction or industrial projects, preferably with large EPC or infrastructure works in the Middle East. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and codes, and ability to work with multicultural teams and multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office and basic quality management or reporting software; strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work on-site in Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar, with flexibility for hybrid work and occasional extended hours based on project needs.
