The role of the SRSG-CAAC is to strengthen the protection of children affected by armed conflict, raise awareness, promote the collection of information about the plight of children affected by war and foster international cooperation to improve their protection. This internship is located in the United Nations Analysis and Outreach Hub on Children and Armed Conflict in Doha. The intern will report to the Deputy Head of the Analysis and Outreach Hub and work closely with the team on various projects and initiatives related to the OSRSG-CAAC mandate. The internship is UNPAID and in-person or remote on a full-time basis (35h/week). The internship duration is 3-6 months. Job Purpose:The Group Business Development Director - LATAM is responsible for identifying, originating and securing major infrastructure investment opportunities across Latin America and South America. The role leads deal sourcing and relationship development with government entities, strategic partners, project developers, current asset owners and operators, and co-investors. <br></span><p>The Senior HR Operations Officer is to lead and oversee the operational aspects of the human resources function within an organization. This includes managing employee lifecycle processes such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and offboarding. The Senior HR Operations Officer ensures the smooth execution of HR processes and policies, while also identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficiency-enhancing initiatives. Additionally, they may be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR technologies. </p><br>

<br><p>Strengthen and continuously improve the impact of Human Resources team through process simplification, enhancements in technology, and further linking with other HR processes and talent initiatives</p><br> <p>Consult with employers to identify employment needs</p><br> <p>Provide a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures</p><br> <p>Assist in developing short and long-range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses and changes in critical competencies</p><br> <p>Gather data and statistical reports as well as assisting with composing correspondence and memoranda, repots and documents</p><br> <p>Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms</p><br> <p>Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures</p><br> <p>Develop and implement policies in line with business need, legislation or industry requirement</p><br> <p>Provide daily HR support and advice to all centers ensuring the implementation of the policies, systems and procedures, including continuous improvement in compliance with local and international rules and regulations</p><br>

<br><p>Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitation of employee relations efforts</p><br> <p>Provide HR support to the business, including documentation and approval process you will assist with the development of accurate job descriptions and implement policies such as performance management, disciplinary and absence management</p><br> <p>Research, monitor, and enforce policies to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies/procedures and legal requirements</p><br> <p>Facilitate communication among employees and management. May guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance</p><br> <p>Assist with planning, implementation of labor relations, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, and diversity and compensation programs</p><br> <p>Provide incident/case management on employee grievances and disciplinary actions. Provide data supporting administration of incident/case management</p><br> <p>Assist management with training and development programs. <p>Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and payroll software enables efficient management of employee data, payroll processing, and reporting.</p><br>
<p>Experience in project management and change management methodologies enhances the ability to plan and implement HR operations initiatives effectively.</p><br>
<p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for collaborating with stakeholders, resolving HR issues, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.</p><br>

Minimum qualifications:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders, driving customer technical implementations or transformation programs. Experience supporting customers in cloud operations (e.g., launch or capacity planning, product release management), technical support, escalation management, or IT consulting. Ability to communicate in English and Arabic fluently to support client relationship management in this region.<br><br>Preferred qualifications:<br><br>MBA or Master’s degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field. Experience translating business requirements into technological solutions. Experience in application or workload migration to public cloud providers. Experience collaborating with teams, groups, business units, channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions. Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, service architecture, cloud-native application development, hosted services, storage systems, or content delivery networks.
