The role includes preparing customized client performance reports, supporting benchmark comparisons, conducting attribution and transaction cost analysis, and maintaining consistency with performance standards such as GIPS. Overview<br><br>The BMS Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining building automation systems, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC, fire, and other integrated systems. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives while adhering to safety standards.<br><br>Your role<br><br>Monitor and oversee repair and maintenance activities of all BMS-controlled systems carried out by service providers across the site. Perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of control systems, and carry out troubleshooting and minor repairs as per the Daily/Weekly Maintenance Plan. Operate and monitor HVAC, fire alarm, and other critical systems through the BMS to ensure efficient and safe performance. Adjust system parameters and variables as required to maintain operations within defined limits and optimal conditions. Record and analyze operational data of HVAC and other BMS-controlled systems to support energy efficiency improvements and performance tracking. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Immediately report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or practices to the concerned authority. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain proper documentation and provide regular written reports on maintenance, repairs, and system performance to management. Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected technical issues or operational challenges in a timely manner. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.</span></p><br><p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><br><ul><li><span>Perform material selection for offshore and onshore facilities, considering factors such as corrosive environments, temperature, and pressure conditions.</span></li><li><span>Develop and implement corrosion management strategies, including cathodic protection, coatings, and inhibitors.</span></li><li><span>Provide guidance on material and coating compatibility with fluids and gases handled by the system.</span></li><li><span>Design and implement asset integrity programs, including risk-based inspection (RBI), failure mode, and effects analysis (FMEA).</span></li><li><span>Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for material failures and recommend corrective actions.</span></li><li><span>Evaluate and provide recommendations on fitness-for-service (FFS) assessments for aging assets.</span></li><li><span>Ensure compliance with international codes and standards such as NACE, ASME, API, ISO, and ASTM.</span></li><li><span>Maintain familiarity with regional and client-specific requirements.</span></li><li><span>Provide support to FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC phases for material and corrosion-related aspects.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with Process, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines to integrate corrosion control measures into design deliverables.</span></li><li><span>Review and approve material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documents.</span></li></ul> <p><span><strong>Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: </strong></span></p><br><ul><li><span>Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field</span></li><li><span>MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.</span></li><li><span>Certification in NACE (e.g., CIP Level 3, CP Technologist, or Corrosion Specialist) or equivalent is highly desirable.</span></li><li><span>Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage </span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Industry Specific Experience:</strong></span></p><br><ul><li><span>Experience in materials and corrosion engineering, with significant exposure to offshore and onshore oil and gas projects.</span></li><li><span>Proven track record in FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases.</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with LNG, FPSO, and subsea systems is advantageous.</span></li><li><span>Deep knowledge of material properties, corrosion mechanisms, and mitigation techniques.</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in using corrosion modeling software (e.g., ECE, NORSOK, or equivalent).</span></li><li><span>Experience with cathodic protection design, including impressed current and sacrificial anode systems.</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes and their impact on material integrity.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Software and Tools:</strong></span></p><br><ul><li><span>Proficiency in engineering design tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent for stress analysis of materials.</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with tools for RBI and integrity management (e.g., DNV Synergi, API RBI).</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Moving forward together</strong></span></p><br><p><span><span>We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
