We envisage success in this role to include;</p> <p>Providing leadership and technical direction to the construction supervision team and ensuring adequate site coverage of Contractor activities.</p> <p>Supervising and monitoring the execution of drainage, sewerage and associated infrastructure works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.</p> <p>Reviewing and implementing contract drawings, specifications, method statements and other technical submissions.</p> <p>Monitoring construction progress, quality and compliance and ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with the approved programme and project requirements.</p> <p>Coordinating the activities of Site Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors and other disciplines involved in the construction supervision.</p> <p>Reviewing technical submissions and supporting the resolution of technical issues arising during construction.</p> <p>Demonstrating strong knowledge of constructability, construction methodologies and technology deployment relevant to drainage and infrastructure works.</p> <p>Providing technical input into technical and financial proposals, evaluations and project planning as required.</p> <p>Preparing and reviewing instructions, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates and other project documentation.</p> <p>Monitoring Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and coordinating safety activities across the supervision team.</p> <p>Supporting the review, negotiation and settlement of Contractor claims, variations and disputes.</p> <p>Coordinating with the Contractor, Consultant and client representatives to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of project issues.</p> <p>Identifying potential risks, technical challenges and interface issues and supporting appropriate mitigation and resolution.</p> <p>Ensuring effective coordination between drainage, utilities, civil works and other disciplines throughout project delivery.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is mandatory , subject to Engineer approval.</li> <li>Valid Qatar Engineering License (MME/UPDA) is mandatory.</li> <li>Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in construction supervision .</li> <li>Minimum 7 years holding the position of Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) or equivalent senior supervision role on projects similar to drainage/infrastructure works .</li> <li>Strong experience in drainage, sewerage, house connections, utilities and associated civil infrastructure projects.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience in technical and financial proposals, technical evaluations, constructability, technology deployment and resolving technical problems during construction.</li> <li>Good knowledge of QA/QC, contract administration, HSE and construction supervision.</li> <li>Excellent written and spoken English, with strong technical writing and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple work areas and coordinate site supervision teams.</li> <li>Strong computer skills and familiarity with relevant engineering/project management software.</li> <li>Experience working in Qatar is preferred.</li> </ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is mandatory , subject to Engineer approval.</p> <p>Valid Qatar Engineering License (MME/UPDA) is mandatory.</p> <p>Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in construction supervision .</p> <p>Minimum 7 years holding the position of Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) or equivalent senior supervision role on projects similar to drainage/infrastructure works .</p> <p>Strong experience in drainage, sewerage, house connections, utilities and associated civil infrastructure projects.</p> <p>Demonstrable experience in technical and financial proposals, technical evaluations, constructability, technology deployment and resolving technical problems during construction.</p> <p>Good knowledge of QA/QC, contract administration, HSE and construction supervision.</p> <p>Excellent written and spoken English, with strong technical writing and communication skills.</p> <p>Ability to manage multiple work areas and coordinate site supervision teams.</p> <p>Strong computer skills and familiarity with relevant engineering/project management software.</p> <p>Experience working in Qatar is preferred.</p>
