The role will be part of Multi Billion LNG Expansion Project.<br><br>Please See Details Below<br><br>Title: SHES Specialist - Offplot<br><br>Start Date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)<br><br>Duration: 36 months (potential for extension)<br><br>Location: Site (Ras Laffan Industrial City), Qatar<br><br>Working Schedule: 6-days per week / 10 hours per day<br><br>Job Purpose<br><br>To act as the Company's SHES focal point for dredging and marine works, providing technical guidance, compliance assurance, and field oversight to ensure that all dredging, reclamation, offshore, and associated construction activities are executed safely, securely, and in an environmentally responsible manner while achieving project objectives. To provide specialist Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) oversight and assurance for dredging, reclamation, and marine construction activities, ensuring that all project works are planned and executed in compliance with Company requirements, statutory regulations, permit conditions, and international best practices. Manage the relevant elements of the Project SHES Management system, its procedures and programs and ensures the effective and efficient implementation of risk control and mitigation measures at site.<br><br>Job Context & Major Challenge(s)<br><br>Position is located in Project Site Offices in Ras Laffan, Qatar. Maintaining effective SHES oversight across dredging and multiple marine contractors operating in a high-risk environment. Ensuring compliance with Company standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental permit conditions while supporting project delivery objectives. Managing interface risks, environmental impacts, and marine operational hazards associated with dredging, reclamation, and offshore construction activities. Influencing contractor SHES performance and fostering a positive safety culture without direct operational control. Balancing project schedule pressures with the need to achieve world-class SHES performance and zero harm objectives. Maintaining close coordination with project management, Contractors Dredger/Marine crews, contractors, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, port operators, and environmental stakeholders to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, and compliant execution of works on dailybasis. Supporting activities conducted from dredgers, barges, support vessels, reclamation areas, marine terminals, and construction sites. Effectively manage risks associated with marine operations, heavy equipment, vessel movements, lifting operations, confined spaces, diving activities, and environmental protection requirements. Maintaining compliance during simultaneous operations involving dredgers, barges, work boats, and construction equipment Ensuring safe execution of dredging activities in busy navigation channels and port areas.<br><br>Key Job Accountabilities<br><br>Reports to: Head of SHES (NFW Offplot). Provide SHES leadership, guidance, and assurance for all dredging, reclamation and associated marine, construction activities to ensure compliance with SHES Management Plans and procedures and regulatory obligations. Conduct regular inspections of dredgers, barges, work boats, marine equipment, temporary facilities, and construction works. Monitor and verify contractor compliance with approved SHES plans, project specifications, permit conditions, and contractual requirements. Review and endorse contractor risk assessments, method statements, environmental management plans, and emergency response procedures for high-risk marine operations. Conduct SHES audits, inspections, site visits, and field verification activities to ensure effective implementation of risk controls and mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with environmental permits and monitor environmental performance relating to dredging activities, including water quality, turbidity, marine ecology protection, waste management, and pollution prevention. Identify, assess, and mitigate SHES risks associated with dredgers, marine vessels, reclamation activities, SIMOPS, lifting operations, and marine logistics. Monitor contractor SHES performance and drive timely closure of incidents, observations, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Familiarity with major clients such as Qatar Energy, QTerminals, Ashghal, ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, or similar Gulf organizations is an advantage.<br><br>Technical And Business Skills<br><br>Knowledge of dredging methodologies (CSD, TSHD) and associated SHES risks. Food Safety, Hygiene & Sanitation Comply fully with hotel food safety policies, HACCP requirements, local regulations, and departmental procedures. Wash hands correctly and regularly, particularly before handling ready-to-eat food and after handling raw ingredients, waste, cleaning materials, or contaminated surfaces. Quality & Presentation Standards Ensure all food prepared meets established standards for freshness, flavor, texture, color, temperature, portion size, and presentation. Follow approved recipes and presentation specifications consistently. Check the quality and condition of ingredients before use. Remove and report any food product that does not meet the required quality or safety standards. Maintain consistency of portion sizes to support food cost control and guest satisfaction. Ensure buffet and display items are replenished and presented neatly during service. Assist with final presentation and garnishing under the direction of the Chef de Partie. Maintain awareness of guest expectations and hotel culinary standards. Accept and act on feedback from senior culinary team members to improve food quality and technical skills. Equipment & Safe Working Practices Use knives, slicers, mixers, food processors, refrigeration equipment, and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Inspect equipment before use and report any malfunction, damage, or safety concern immediately. Follow manufacturer instructions and departmental procedures when operating kitchen equipment. Keep knives and sharp equipment clean, secure, and stored appropriately when not in use. Follow safe manual-handling practices when lifting, carrying, storing, or transporting ingredients and kitchen equipment. Maintain dry and clean floors and work areas to minimize slip and trip hazards. Use cleaning chemicals only in accordance with approved procedures and never mix chemicals unless specifically authorized. Follow all fire, emergency, occupational health and safety procedures. Immediately report accidents, injuries, burns, cuts, equipment damage, or other incidents to the Chef or Supervisor. Cleaning & Kitchen Stewardship Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Cold Kitchen throughout preparation and service. Clean and sanitize workstations, refrigerators, preparation areas, shelves, equipment, utensils, and other assigned areas. Keep refrigerators and cold storage areas organized and free from expired, spoiled, or unidentified products. Ensure food containers are clean, covered, labeled, dated, and stored correctly. Maintain proper separation between raw, cooked, and ready-to-eat food products. Return ingredients, utensils, and equipment to their designated locations after use. Coordinate with Stewarding regarding the timely cleaning and availability of kitchen equipment, utensils, and silverware. Participate in scheduled deep cleaning and periodic hygiene inspections as assigned. Maintain a professional and organized working environment throughout the shift. Food Cost & Waste Control Follow established portion-control standards and approved recipes to support food cost objectives. Minimize unnecessary food waste through proper preparation, storage, and handling. Use ingredients responsibly and avoid overproduction. Report excessive waste, damaged products, or unusual consumption to the Chef de Partie. Support accurate stock rotation and proper storage to reduce spoilage. Assist with daily and periodic stock counts as assigned. Handle hotel food products, equipment, and supplies responsibly and prevent unnecessary loss or damage. Teamwork & Communication Work closely with the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, Sous Chef, and other culinary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate clearly and promptly regarding production requirements, shortages, food quality concerns, equipment issues, and service requirements. Support other kitchen sections when required, subject to operational needs and appropriate supervision. Assist colleagues during peak service periods and high-volume operations. Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional attitude toward colleagues and other hotel departments. Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, meetings, and departmental activities as required. Accept constructive feedback and demonstrate willingness to learn and develop culinary skills. Maintain professional communication and conduct at all times.<br><br>SERVICE CULTURE<br><br>Qualifications & Experience<br><br>In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the incumbent is expected to actively demonstrate the principles of the company's Count on Me! Service Culture by being:<br><br>Culinary qualification, vocational training, or relevant food production training is preferred. Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, catering, or professional kitchen environment is an advantage. Previous experience in a Cold Kitchen, Garde Manger, or similar culinary section is preferred but not essential for an entry-level Commis I position. Basic knowledge of food preparation, knife skills, ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP principles, and safe food handling. Through our Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow and TIVOLI properties, Minor Hotels operates in 50+ countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.<br><br>Key Responsabilities<br><br>Transfers & Boat Operations<br><br>Every evening check the schedule for transfers and excursions for the following day. Be familiar with the details regarding the trips including number of guests, their names and any special requirements. Prepare boat set up, according the requirements of the trip and the operating procedures. Always make sure there are sufficient cold towels, beverages and sea sick bands required for each trip. Additionally, during rainy season, make sure that there are enough raincoats and towels available on board. Go through the check list and make sure that everything on the check lis are followed Ensure that if you or the crew member miss a meal while on a trip, coordinate with Launch Section Manager or coordinator, and ensure that the food is prepared for them from the resort or get the meal from the place that you are going. Make sure that the cost of that meal must be the price set by the management unless authorise by Launch Section Manger. Ensure that the boat is clean, set-up and waiting on the guest jetty, 30 minutes prior to each trip, with the crew members. All team members must following the Resort grooming and uniform standards. Make sure all trips are as comfortable as possible for all guests, whilst ensuring their safety and catering to their needs.<br><br>Boat Maintenance & Safety<br><br>Always follow the maritime law, rules and regulations as set forth by the Ministry of Transport & Communication of the Republic of Maldives. Ensure that the Sea Worthy certificate is on board, and ensure all its requirements are followed. Carry on your person your Captain’s License during all trips. Clean the boat and equipment. Ensure that the boat is in good working condition at all times and report any maintenance issues immediately. Follow up maintenance issues with Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolved. Carry out all the maintenance work of the boat or its engine with engineering department delegates and update Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolve. Maintain and at times, build anchor points and nautical navigation lights. Always be responsible and take precautionary measures to avoid any risky incidents. For example, ensure there are no petrol leakages that life jackets are available, that fire extinguishers are in working condition etc. In cases of inclement weather, ascertain whether trips can be made and advise Launch Section Manager or Coordinator accordingly. Carry onboard the Boat Mobile phone at all times when you are on duty. Ensure that it is fully charged before each trip. Ensure that on board radio set is in working condition. At all times keep in mind guest and crew safety first, and drive the boats accordingly.<br><br>Communication<br><br>Communicate between Airport Hosts and the Resort Operators to co-ordinate arrival and departure times, and any other guest issues and requests faced during the trip. Communicate regularly and as required any issues with boats or guests to the Launch Section Manager or Coordinator. Inform to Launch Section Manager or Supervisor if any items onboard including and not limited to beverages, seasick bands, seasick bags, and resort fact sheets/brochures need to be replaced. Handle guest queries in a timely and efficient manner and provide any information sought by the guest. Resolve guest issues to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority. Write incident reports regarding any incidents during the trip. Get feedback from guests during the trips and inform the department to ensure proper follow up and actions are taken place. Report any crew disciplinary issues to Launch Section Manager or Coordinator.<br><br>Team & Development<br><br>Attend training programs as designated by the resort. Be familiar with the details regarding the trips including number of guests, their names and any special requirements. Prepare boat set up, according the requirements of the trip and the operating procedures. Always make sure there are sufficient cold towels, beverages and sea sick bands required for each trip. Additionally, during rainy season, make sure that there are enough raincoats and towels available on board. Go through the check list and make sure that everything on the check lis are followed Ensure that if you or the crew member miss a meal while on a trip, coordinate with Launch Section Manager or coordinator, and ensure that the food is prepared for them from the resort or get the meal from the place that you are going. Make sure all trips are as comfortable as possible for all guests, whilst ensuring their safety and catering to their needs.<br><br>Boat Maintenance & Safety<br><br>Always follow the maritime law, rules and regulations as set forth by the Ministry of Transport & Communication of the Republic of Maldives. Ensure that the Sea Worthy certificate is on board, and ensure all its requirements are followed. Carry on your person your Captain’s License during all trips. Clean the boat and equipment. Ensure that the boat is in good working condition at all times and report any maintenance issues immediately. Follow up maintenance issues with Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolved. Carry out all the maintenance work of the boat or its engine with engineering department delegates and update Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolve. Maintain and at times, build anchor points and nautical navigation lights. Always be responsible and take precautionary measures to avoid any risky incidents. For example, ensure there are no petrol leakages that life jackets are available, that fire extinguishers are in working condition etc. In cases of inclement weather, ascertain whether trips can be made and advise Launch Section Manager or Coordinator accordingly. Carry onboard the Boat Mobile phone at all times when you are on duty. Ensure that it is fully charged before each trip. Ensure that on board radio set is in working condition. We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to drive the growth of our B2B Specialty Coffee and HORECA business in Qatar.<br>ROLE DESCRIPTIONThe Sales Executive will be responsible for penetrating the Qatar coffee market and developing B2B business across specialty coffee shops, local café chains, hotels, restaurants, roasteries, offices and other HORECA customers.<br>This is primarily a new-business acquisition role.
