<p><em>Remote&nbsp;·&nbsp;Full-time&nbsp;·&nbsp;Founding appointment</em></p><p>We are building a national-scale AI and technology learning program for schools across the GCC and global markets, aligned with the region's long-term national development goals. We are starting with Grades 9–12 and will extend across K–12, and we are now appointing the curriculum authority for that program.</p><p>This is a founding seat with unusual scope. You will own what students learn and in what order, decide where we license world-class material and where we author our own, and carry the curriculum through a government approval process to the point where it is taught in real classrooms.</p><p>You will report to the founder and work alongside our Arabic AI Curriculum Architect. Both language forms share one competency framework, so parity between Arabic and English is designed in, not translated.</p><p><strong>What you will own</strong></p><p>• The integrated curriculum: a single coherent program rather than a set of assembled parts.</p><p>• Source decisions: what we license from established providers, and what we write ourselves.</p><p>• Progression and coherence from Grades 9–12 first, and then across the full K–12 range.</p><p>• Alignment to recognised international standards, demonstrated to an auditable level.</p><p>• The curriculum submission to the education authority, and the review cycles that follow it.</p><p>• The authoring standard, and direction of the writers and specialists who work to it.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you will bring</strong></p><p>• Ten or more years in school curriculum design, with at least five in computing, computer science or AI education as taught subject matter.</p><p>• Hands-on experience designing or teaching AI or machine learning content, and familiarity with frameworks such as AI4K12 or UNESCO's AI competency frameworks.</p><p>• A curriculum you authored or led that was adopted by a national, state or multi-district system, and survived its approval process.</p><p>• Demonstrable work mapping curriculum against published competency standards.</p><p>• Design of upper-secondary pathways that progress towards a recognised qualification or certification.</p><p>• Experience deciding between licensed and originally authored material, with real consequences attached.</p><p>• A master's degree or higher in curriculum, computer science education, learning sciences or a related field. A doctorate is an advantage.</p><p>• Experience with bilingual or multilingual curricula is also an advantage.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Who this suits</strong></p><p>Someone who has already done this once inside a system and wants to do it again with fewer constraints and a clearer mandate. <p>JOB TITLE: Head of Research - Research and Scientific Support Department</p><p>Role Purpose: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all researchers and support personnel hired within the Research department.
