Job Location:<br><br>Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara<br><br>Overview<br><br>Minor Hotels is an international hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a diverse portfolio of over 530 properties designed intelligently to appeal to a variety of travellers, serving new passions as well as personal needs. Through our Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow and TIVOLI properties, Minor Hotels operates in 50+ countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe and South America.<br><br>Key Responsabilities<br><br>Transfers & Boat Operations<br><br>Every evening check the schedule for transfers and excursions for the following day. Be familiar with the details regarding the trips including number of guests, their names and any special requirements. Prepare boat set up, according the requirements of the trip and the operating procedures. Always make sure there are sufficient cold towels, beverages and sea sick bands required for each trip. Additionally, during rainy season, make sure that there are enough raincoats and towels available on board. Go through the check list and make sure that everything on the check lis are followed Ensure that if you or the crew member miss a meal while on a trip, coordinate with Launch Section Manager or coordinator, and ensure that the food is prepared for them from the resort or get the meal from the place that you are going. Make sure that the cost of that meal must be the price set by the management unless authorise by Launch Section Manger. Ensure that the boat is clean, set-up and waiting on the guest jetty, 30 minutes prior to each trip, with the crew members. All team members must following the Resort grooming and uniform standards. Make sure all trips are as comfortable as possible for all guests, whilst ensuring their safety and catering to their needs.<br><br>Boat Maintenance & Safety<br><br>Always follow the maritime law, rules and regulations as set forth by the Ministry of Transport & Communication of the Republic of Maldives. Ensure that the Sea Worthy certificate is on board, and ensure all its requirements are followed. Carry on your person your Captain’s License during all trips. Clean the boat and equipment. Ensure that the boat is in good working condition at all times and report any maintenance issues immediately. Follow up maintenance issues with Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolved. Carry out all the maintenance work of the boat or its engine with engineering department delegates and update Launch Section Manager or Coordinator until it is resolve. Maintain and at times, build anchor points and nautical navigation lights. Always be responsible and take precautionary measures to avoid any risky incidents. For example, ensure there are no petrol leakages that life jackets are available, that fire extinguishers are in working condition etc. In cases of inclement weather, ascertain whether trips can be made and advise Launch Section Manager or Coordinator accordingly. Carry onboard the Boat Mobile phone at all times when you are on duty. Ensure that it is fully charged before each trip. Ensure that on board radio set is in working condition. At all times keep in mind guest and crew safety first, and drive the boats accordingly.<br><br>Communication<br><br>Communicate between Airport Hosts and the Resort Operators to co-ordinate arrival and departure times, and any other guest issues and requests faced during the trip. Communicate regularly and as required any issues with boats or guests to the Launch Section Manager or Coordinator. Inform to Launch Section Manager or Supervisor if any items onboard including and not limited to beverages, seasick bands, seasick bags, and resort fact sheets/brochures need to be replaced. Handle guest queries in a timely and efficient manner and provide any information sought by the guest. Resolve guest issues to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority. Write incident reports regarding any incidents during the trip. Get feedback from guests during the trips and inform the department to ensure proper follow up and actions are taken place. Report any crew disciplinary issues to Launch Section Manager or Coordinator.<br><br>Team & Development<br><br>Attend training programs as designated by the resort. Be motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to acquire new skills or knowledge in order to improve your personal performance, and ultimately the guest service. Maintain a high level of team spirit by developing excellent relationships with the team and colleagues from other departments, and support them in the pursuit of departmental and resort goals. Always have a positive attitude and take initiative to resolve issues.<br><br>General<br><br>Be familiar with the Transport Department, Front Office and Resort Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that they are followed. Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the procedures in the Resort. Actively promote the services and facilities to guests and other stakeholders of the Resort. Keep updated on changes to other areas of resort product and share such information with your team and department on an ongoing basis. Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene and ensure all grooming standards are met in relation to personal grooming and uniform presentation. Comply with Resort Safety & Environment policies, initiatives and legislation. Abide by all Work Place Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations at all times. Abide by the guidelines set out in the Employee Handbook. From the elegant lobby to energetic restaurants and lounges, our beachfront urban retreat has been transformed into a vibrant hotspot, while remaining true to our Qatari roots. This stunning urban beachfront retreat opened in April 2005 in the heart of the business district, and has 237 rooms and 20 unbranded townhouse villas, a large Food and Beverage operation with 10 stunning venues including the world’s largest Nobu restaurant, significant banquets/outside catering, five pools and a private beach, fitness center, and a spa and wellness center offering guests expansive hydrotherapy facilities including an ice room, colour therapy room, steam room and hydrotherapy pool. The hotel completed a beautiful renovation in 2019 and re-opened in March 2020.</p>
<p>We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our Cluster Sales team at Four Seasons Hotels Qatar, representing Four Seasons Hotel Doha and Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl Qatar. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Sales and plays a key role in driving revenue performance across both properties.</p>
<h4>Responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Administer the sales program of the hotel.</li>
<li>Implement all sales action plans related to the respective market (by segment and geographical locations) as outlined in the Commercial plan.</li>
<li>Actively participate in achieving the departmental goals, which contribute to the hotel's budgets.</li>
<li>Solicit from assigned local corporate, long stays, group, and leisure segments for rooms, food & beverage business, banquet business and all hotel business from sales activities.</li>
<li>Write strategic sales action plans for assigned local corporate, long stays, group, and leisure segments.</li>
<li>Closely monitor accounts revenue and business productions.</li>
<li>Maximize up-selling opportunities whenever possible.</li>
<li>Attend related work functions and promotional events (i.e. trade shows) and promote sales (rooms, catering, and other facilities and services) for the hotel.</li>
<li>Plan sales trips, under the direct approval of Director of Sales or Commercial Director to major market areas, calling on accounts within the specific market areas. The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales on potential markets which need coverage.</li>
<li>Review direct competition and conduct regular research.</li>
<li>With the assistance of the office supporting staff, keep and maintain the hotel database and Central Information System in the most efficient and effective manner.</li>
<li>Complete weekly Golden S&C sales calls report.</li>
<li>Maintain an up-to-date record of all account corporate profiles on Golden S&C.</li>
<li>Conduct telemarketing and research from internet and internal resources to qualify accounts.</li>
<li>Project a professional image when representing the hotel.</li>
<li>Host corporate familiarization groups, hotel tours, attend trade shows or sales trips, webinars and assist colleagues whenever deemed necessary.</li>
<li>Handle any duties as designated by the Director of Sales.</li>
<li>Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales, telephone, fax and written communications.</li>
<li>Strive to meet or exceed sales targets set by the Director of Sales.</li>
<li>Carry out the day-to-day sales activities in local corporate, long stays, group, and leisure segments for rooms under the set policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Develop new accounts by mapping specific business and buying tendencies.</li>
<li>Conduct site inspections.</li>
<li>Maintain close communication with the Meetings and Events team in the group process of their accounts.</li>
<li>Attend the pre-event meeting and post-event meeting as required, chaired by Meetings and Events team.</li>
<li>Cross-sell other sister properties, F&B, vouchers, SPA whenever possible.</li>
<li>Liaise with all WSOs to generate and follow up on potential sales leads.</li>
<li>Responsible for the training and development of other junior corporate and commercial sales staff to the finest professional standard and lead by example.</li>
<li>Create and execute direct sales plan specific for new business development.</li>
</ul>
<h4>What you bring:</h4>

<li>Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in luxury hotels or resorts in a similar role.</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and third parties in a manner that consistently reflects Four Seasons brand values.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).</li>
