Job Description<br><br>Job Purpose:<br><br>To design and develop the Google Cloud-based foundation while orchestrating the technical vision across the engineering teams<br><br>Key Activities<br><br>Design and implement a shared, scalable cloud foundation on GCP that hosts all the future Saa S products, enabling engineering teams to launch faster and avoid reinventing the wheel. Mentor and guide the Digital Architects across different squads. Align their technical decisions to ensure standard patterns, tools, and best practices are adopted, maintaining technical coherence and preventing fragmented infrastructure. Actively dive into the code to build initial prototypes for complex features and resolve severe technical blockers. Lead by example to teach development teams advanced implementation techniques. Partner closely with the Senior Cloud Security Engineer and Cloud Engineers to define robust network topologies and embed “secure-by-design” principles into the core Saa S architecture, ensuring strict adherence to GCP best practices from day one.<br><br>Qualifications & Experience<br><br>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent deep, verifiable hands-on engineering experience. Master’s Degree in Software Engineering or Cloud Computing is preferable. Professional Google Cloud Architect (highly preferred). Other respected technical certifications (e.g., Professional Google Cloud Developer) are a plus.8-10+ years in software engineering and architecture, with at least 4+ years designing and building complex, cloud-native Saa S applications. Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), microservices, serverless architectures, Kubernetes, multi-tenant Saa S design, cloud networking (VPCs, load balancing), and solid foundational knowledge of cloud cybersecurity. <p>Engineering Operations & Maintenance Support the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department and ensure the smooth functioning of all resort facilities and equipment. Conduct regular inspections of guest villas, public areas, F&B outlets, kitchens, offices, associate areas, and other facilities to identify maintenance requirements. Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water, drainage, and other building systems are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition. Respond promptly to engineering-related guest and operational requests, prioritizing issues according to urgency and potential impact. Troubleshoot technical problems and provide practical solutions to minimize operational disruption. Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with other departments to minimize inconvenience to guests. Ensure engineering workshops, plant rooms, storage areas, and technical spaces are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition. Preventive Maintenance & Asset Management Support the implementation and monitoring of the resort's preventive maintenance program. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time and accurately documented. Maintain appropriate records for equipment servicing, repairs, inspections, warranties, and maintenance history. Identify recurring defects and conduct root-cause analysis to reduce repeat breakdowns. Monitor the condition and performance of resort assets and recommend repair, replacement, or improvement where required. Ensure critical spare parts and engineering supplies are maintained at appropriate levels, particularly considering the resort's remote location. Guest Experience Ensure all engineering concerns affecting guests are addressed with urgency, professionalism, and sensitivity.
