The Institute offers MA and PhD programs in two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. The Institute adopts a student-centred approach to learning, promotes interdisciplinary research, and uses Arabic as the primary language of instruction, with fluency in English a requirement. DI aims to graduate researchers and practitioners who can advance knowledge and better the human condition, while upholding the highest scientific, professional, and ethical standards. It provides advanced leadership-focused training that emphasizes the competencies necessary to satisfy the region's needs in sustainable development and intellectual advancement. The Institute upholds the guiding principles of academic freedom and emphasizes the values of integrity and professionalism.

The Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography Program seeks to form an elite group of researchers qualified to practice scientific research in accordance with its principles and global standards, in the fields of linguistics, lexicography, terminology, and associated applications of these sciences. Linking theoretical formation with practical applications, it seeks to invest the knowledge achieved theoretically and practically in solving some of the problems of the Arabic language and its contemporary lexicons, so that it can fix some of the shortcomings observed in the field of the Arabic lexicography and can contribute to the production of modern Arabic dictionaries and a historical dictionary of Arabic.

The Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography Program seeks to hire a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor with expertise in linguistics and the ability to teach both general linguistics and modern Arabic linguistics.
