<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for supporting the Project Manager in managing all cost and commercial aspects of the project, ensuring effective financial control, contract compliance, and value management throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves reviewing contractor payments, assessing variations and claims, and maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting. The Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in evaluating cost impacts, ensuring proper valuation of works, and supporting change management and contractual processes. Working closely with planning, technical, and project teams, the role ensures alignment between cost, scope, and schedule, while providing reliable commercial insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and successful project delivery.</p><p>Your role</p><ul><li>Support the Project Manager in cost control, commercial management, payment review, change management, claims review and cost reporting throughout the project duration.</li><li>Review Contractor payment applications and provide recommendations to the Client in accordance with the agreed governance and approval process.</li><li>Support the review of variations, change requests, claims, EOT cost implications, cost impacts, provisional sums, commercial risks, forecasts, cash flow and cost reports.</li><li>Maintain commercial registers, variation registers, payment records, cost reports and other commercial tracking documents required for project reporting and decision-making.</li><li>Coordinate with the Project Manager, senior discipline engineers, planning engineer and document control team to ensure commercial assessments are supported by appropriate technical, programme and contractual information.</li><li>Support the assessment of contractor submissions in relation to quantities, rates, valuation, cost substantiation, scope changes and commercial entitlement, and provide recommendations for Client review and decision.</li></ul><p><br></p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><b>About you</b></p><ul><li>Strong experience in cost management, contract administration, payment assessment, variation assessment, claims support and commercial reporting.</li><li>Experience in data centre, mission-critical, MEP-intensive, industrial or technically complex projects will be preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with project controls, cost reporting, contract administration and the commercial management requirements of multidisciplinary construction projects in Qatar or the wider region.</li><li>Ability to work closely with planning and technical teams to assess time and cost impacts, support EOT reviews and maintain commercial visibility for the Client.</li><li>Knowledge of construction contracts, change control processes, payment procedures and commercial reporting protocols will be required.</li></ul><p></p></section>

<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <ul> <li>Execute and support inspection activities during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable operation of the new facilities by early defect detections in accordance with established policies, procedures, instructions and targets.</li> </ul><br><ul> <li>Carries out external visual examinations complemented with NDT examination as required on Company equipment such as vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, pressure safety devices, piping, lifting equipment according to Company established policies and procedures and issues inspection reports.</li> <li>Performs preliminary integrity assessment of static equipment and piping according to Company established policies and procedures, interprets findings and issues inspection reports using Meridium or similar software.</li> <li>Inspects maintenance and capital project works being carried out in the field, to ensure that established maintenance practices and procedures are followed for welding, painting, fabrication and installation as per policy and in compliance with relevant applicable international codes and standard.</li> <li>Carries out or supervises NDT tests on mechanical equipment and piping according to the instructions from Supervisor or Corrosion Engineer. Tests include dye penetrant examination, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, hardness tests, eddy current, IRIS, thermography, PMI, Metallography, boroscopy and use of special equipment to determine DFT of paint and ferrometer for stainless steel welding tests and other tests and inspections as required.
