Short Description<br><br>Join an Offshore Support Vessel operating in Qatar as a 3rd Engineer and support the safe operation and maintenance of critical engine room systems. This role is ideal for engineers with offshore DP vessel experience looking to further strengthen their offshore engineering background.<br><br>Function Description<br><br>As a 3rd Engineer, you'll play an important role in keeping the vessel operational and supporting safe offshore activities.<br><br>Execute engine room rounds, inspections, and planned maintenance activities. Notify senior engineers of defects and support troubleshooting of machinery systems. Guarantee reliable operation of engines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment through proactive maintenance. Implement maintenance tasks in accordance with company and manufacturer procedures. Nurture a safe working environment by maintaining strong housekeeping and safety standards. Enhance vessel reliability through effective monitoring of fuel, lubrication, and cooling systems. Expand your offshore engineering expertise while supporting DP maintenance activities. Remain an active member of the engineering team, contributing to safe and efficient vessel operations.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>Mandatory Requirements:<br><br>A-III/2 Certificate of Competency. DP Maintenance Certificate (Engine Room). BOSIET. H2S. ERM.<br><br>Preferred Experience<br><br>12 months effective sailing time onboard CSV, DSV, or MPSV vessels.2 months effective sailing time onboard DP2 KPOS vessels. This is what drives up the challenge as part of the Data department, but also the reward.<br><br>The Opportunity:<br><br>As a Senior/Staff Data Engineer in CEG (Customer Experience Group), you will help design, build, and maintain the data and software foundations that power how CEG Business users serves customers and agents across all contact channels. You will work closely with Product, Operations, Analytics, Operations Efficiency, WFM, Dev Ops and engineering teams to deliver reliable data pipelines, scalable models, internal tools, and clear insights that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.<br><br>You are comfortable switching between engineering work (pipelines, data models, internal services, tooling, optimization) and analytics work (business questions, dashboards, deep‑dive analysis). You can talk to both engineers and business stakeholders in simple, clear language. At the Staff level, you will also shape CEG’s data and tooling strategy, influence cross‑team architecture, and raise the overall engineering and data bar for the team.<br><br>What You’ll Do:<br><br>Data Engineering<br><br>Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and serve data from CEG systems (case management, telephony, chat, bots, QA tools, WFM, CRM) and third‑party tools and logs. Develop and optimize data models (e.g., warehouse tables, marts, views) that power CEG reporting, monitoring, forecasting, QA, and experimentation. Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability:Implement validation checks, anomaly detection, and monitoring for key CEG datasets and metrics. Work with stakeholders to define and enforce data definitions, SLAs, and ownership for critical tables and metrics. Improve performance and cost efficiency of data jobs and queries (e.g., partitioning, indexing, query tuning, storage format optimization) for high‑volume CEG data (calls, chats, emails, cases, events). Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to standardize tooling and best practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD for data and services, code review, documentation, runbooks).<br><br>Data Tools & Product Development<br><br>Design and build data tools and internal products for CEG (e.g., self‑service analytics, case monitoring dashboards, alerting systems, investigator tools, QA/review tools, agent performance views). Use languages such as Python, Java, Golang, or Java Script/Type Script to implement APIs, data services, and lightweight UIs that expose data in a usable way to agents, managers, and operations teams. Work closely with CEG product managers and operations to translate operational pain points into concrete data tools, from problem framing to delivery and iteration. Apply solid software engineering practices—testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability—to data products so they are reliable, maintainable, and easy to extend. At Staff level, define and drive the roadmap for key CEG data tools and platforms, ensuring reuse across regions, lines of business, and channels.<br><br>Data Analytics & Business Impact<br><br>Partner with CEG product and business teams to translate questions into data problems and design clear analytic approaches. Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., contact volumes, handling time, quality, customer outcomes, agent performance, spot alerts) that provide reliable metrics and self‑service access to data. Perform deep‑dive analysis to understand trends in contact patterns, customer issues, agent performance, and operational efficiency; identify root causes and propose practical, data‑driven recommendations. Define and maintain metrics and KPIs (e.g., CSAT, NPS, SLA, AHT, FCR, quality scores), ensuring consistent definitions across CEG teams and tools. Communicate findings in simple, business‑friendly language, including clear implications and recommended next steps.<br><br>Stakeholder & Team Collaboration <br><br>Act as a trusted data partner for CEG stakeholders (operations leaders, product managers, WFM, QA, training, policy, and regional leadership). Work with other data engineers, analysts, and scientists to align on data standards, reusable components, and shared datasets for CEG. Mentor junior and mid‑level team members on data engineering, analytics, and software engineering best practices. Contribute to continuous improvement of team workflows (code reviews, testing, documentation, runbooks, knowledge sharing, incident reviews). At Staff level, influence cross‑team architecture and ways of working, making sure CEG’s data ecosystem scales with business growth.<br>Required Qualifications:<br><br>8+ years working as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Analyst in a data‑driven environment (Staff level typically 10+ or equivalent scope/impact). Strong SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, aggregation, query optimization). Experience with at least one major data warehouse / big data technology (e.g., Big Query, Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Spark, Vertica, Star Rocks, or similar). Solid experience with ETL/ELT tools or orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, dbt, internal frameworks). Proficiency in at least one programming language for data and services (e.g., Python, Java, Golang, Kotlin, or Java Script/Type Script). Experience building production‑grade data pipelines and/or data services with attention to quality, monitoring, and maintainability. Experience with BI / visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Superset, Metabase, Looker). Strong analytical thinking: comfortable framing business questions, exploring data, and turning results into clear insights. Ability to communicate complex topics in simple, concise language to non‑technical stakeholders.<br><br>Preferred Qualifications:<br><br>Experience with event‑driven data (logs, clickstream, customer journey, contact flows, tracking data). This role works closely with engineering teams and focuses on building, reviewing, and operating security controls using Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and custom security services written in Go and Type Script.<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br><br>Secure Cloud Deployment:<br><br>Design, implement, and manage secure cloud deployments across AWS and GCP environments using Terraform. Kubernetes & Git Ops Security: Deploy and manage both internal and third‑party security products within the Kubernetes ecosystem. Work with Git Ops workflows using tools like Argo CD and Flux, and Helm charts. Security Automation & Tooling: Design and build security tooling and services using Go and Type Script. Misconfiguration Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and remediate cloud misconfigurations. Cloud Architecture Guidance: Provide guidance to Engineering teams on secure architecture. Threat Detection & Response: Build and optimize cloud-native detection rules and alerting pipelines to monitor for suspicious activities within the cloud and container workloads.<br><br>Required Skills & Experience:<br><br>8+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or platform engineering roles. Hands-on experience securing production workloads in AWS and GCP. Strong experience designing and securing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Deep understanding of Kubernetes security, including troubleshooting Helm deployments and Git Ops-based workflows. Strong programming skills in Go and Type Script, with Python used for automation where appropriate. Experience embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines. Prepare and update Quality Plans, Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for joinery and fit-out works. Ensure QA procedures cover all stages of manufacturing, including material procurement, fabrication, finishing, packing, and delivery. Coordinate internal audits and assist during external audits by clients, consultants, or certification bodies. Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client requirements to identify quality requirements and risks. Establish quality objectives and monitor performance through KPIs and quality reports. Promote a quality-driven culture across production and project teams. Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities Conduct incoming material inspections for timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, adhesives, and accessories. Verify compliance of materials with approved submittals, samples, and technical data sheets. Perform in-process inspections during cutting, machining, assembly, veneering, laminating, finishing, polishing, and pre-installation mock-ups. Inspect final products to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, samples, tolerances, and finish quality. Monitor workmanship quality for factory-made and site-installed joinery and fit-out items. Ensure proper calibration and use of measuring and inspection tools. Identify non-conformities and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where required. Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness. Project & Site Coordination Liaise with Project Managers, Production Managers, Factory Supervisors, and Site Engineers on quality matters. Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors. Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site inspections prior to delivery or installation. Ensure quality compliance during site installation, rectification works, and snag clearance. Assist in preparation of handover documents, warranties, and quality dossiers when required. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, approvals, NCRs, and corrective actions. Prepare Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure timely approvals. Compile quality reports, dashboards, and monthly summaries for management review. Control quality-related documents and ensure only approved revisions are in use. Maintain records for traceability of materials and workmanship. Compliance & Standards Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, EN, local authority requirements). Ensure products meet fire rating, environmental, sustainability, and safety requirements where applicable. Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements related to materials and finishes (e.g., VOC, fire-retardant treatments). Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC Application Engineering, Technical Support, or HVAC System Design, with strong expertise in DX and VRV systems, preferably within the Qatar or GCC market. Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, equipment selection, psychometrics, heat load calculations, and energy-efficient system applications. Hands-on experience using HVAC selection and design software, including VRV, Auto CAD, AHU selection software and Microsoft Office applications. Solid understanding of MEP drawings, HVAC design standards, tender specifications, and consultant requirements. Proven experience providing technical support across multiple sales channels, including equipment selection, solution optimization, value engineering, and technical proposal development. Ability to analyze project requirements, identify technical risks, and recommend practical engineering solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with consultants, contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders. Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Fluent in English. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Operating across multiple countries, the team delivers reliable support to Agoda employees whether they are in the office, working remotely, or traveling.<br><br>Within GSD, the People Technology (HR Tech) team manages the systems that power Agoda’s people operations. Our platforms, including Workday, support key HR processes such as employee lifecycle management, performance reviews, and organizational data, helping the company scale efficiently while improving employee experience.<br><br>The Opportunity:<br><br>Agoda is looking for a People Technology Functional Support Specialist to support and enhance our Workday environment following go-live implementation. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day system operations, troubleshooting issues, supporting business process improvements, managing configuration updates, and partnering with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure Workday continues to meet business needs.<br><br>The ideal candidate has experience in post-production Workday support, understands how to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, and is comfortable balancing operational stability with continuous improvement.<br><br>In This Role, You'll Get To :<br><br>Production Support & Issue Resolution<br><br>Provide day-to-day support for the Workday platform in a post-go-live environment. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, data discrepancies, security concerns, and process failures. Monitor inbound tickets, production defects, integration errors, and end-user queries, ensuring timely resolution. Triage issues and escalate to the appropriate internal teams or external partners when needed. Support root cause analysis and recommend preventive solutions to reduce recurring issues. <br><br>Configuration & System Maintenance<br><br>Maintain and update Workday configuration based on business needs, policy changes, and compliance requirements. Support changes to organizations, business processes, notifications, reports, calculated fields, eligibility rules, security roles, and validations. Participate in regular system maintenance activities, including Workday releases, feature adoption, regression testing, and documentation updates. Ensure changes are designed and deployed in alignment with governance and change control processes. <br><br>Business Process Optimization<br><br>Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities to streamline and improve Workday-enabled processes. Analyze current workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, user experience, compliance, and data quality. Translate business requirements into functional designs and system changes. Support continuous improvement initiatives following implementation stabilization. <br><br>Stakeholder Partnership<br><br>Act as a key liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other business teams for Workday-related needs. Gather and clarify requirements for enhancements, fixes, and process changes. Communicate system capabilities, constraints, risks, and recommended solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Provide guidance to end users and stakeholders on Workday functionality and best practices. <br><br>Testing & Release Management<br><br>Coordinate and execute unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing for new enhancements and fixes. Support Workday semiannual release reviews, impact assessments, and feature evaluations. Maintain test scripts and ensure critical business processes are validated before deployment. Partner with teams to ensure smooth production deployment and post-release support. <br><br>Reporting, Data, and Compliance<br><br>Assist in maintaining data integrity within Workday through audits, validations, and periodic review activities. Support the development and maintenance of Workday reports, dashboards, and data extracts. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance standards. Help monitor security access and support periodic access reviews as needed. <br><br>Documentation & Knowledge Management<br><br>Maintain functional documentation, configuration logs, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Document business processes, issue resolutions, and change impacts clearly and accurately. Contribute to training materials and support user enablement where required. <br><br>What You'll Need to Succeed:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field. Experience supporting Workday in a post-go-live or production environment. Hands-on experience with one or more Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, or Security. Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration concepts, and tenant management in a support model. Experience gathering requirements, troubleshooting issues, and supporting system enhancements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. <br><br>It's Great If You Have:<br><br>Experience supporting in both functional and technical workstreams in Workday Experience in Workday implementation, stabilization, or optimization projects. Familiarity with EIBs, integrations, report writing, calculated fields, or security configuration. Experience supporting Workday releases and regression testing. Knowledge of HR, Payroll, or Finance operational processes. Workday certification(s) in relevant functional areas.
