<p>The Construction Manager provides on-site administrative, technical management, and leadership for the design and contract compliance, and construction of large multi-million-dollar Government funded construction projects at a specified project site. This position will be in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and it is located at Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB), Doha, Qatar. Essential Responsibilities: Construction Manager shall read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.), participate in design reviews, and ensure that all construction is performed in accordance with the construction documents. Construction managers shall review construction sites daily, document the reviews on AF Form 1477, and file the documentation in the project folder. Construction managers shall also review shop drawings and product submittals and provide recommendations through the Site Manager.</p><p>Physical Requirements/Working Environment • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. Reporting to Event Director, this role will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery including the installation, dismantling and 3rd party certification of all temporary structures and site services required for the international championship. This includes design, construction, maintenance and removal of temporary infrastructures such as grandstands, broadcast facilities, and operational compounds. Site manager also ensures that all installations adhere to the highest safety, quality and sustainability standards, while supporting efficient site operations and delivering an exceptional event experience in line with international events standards.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Oversee day-to-day site operations before, during, and after the event. Coordinate venue setup, overlay installation, and dismantling activities. Manage site logistics, contractor access, and operational readiness. Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless site delivery. Monitor site safety, compliance, and adherence to event operational standards. Identify and resolve on-site operational issues to maintain event continuity. Support venue inspections, testing, and readiness activities. Maintain site documentation and provide operational reports throughout the project.<br>What we are looking for<br>Minimum 5–8 years of experience in site management, venue operations, event operations, or infrastructure delivery. Experience delivering major sporting events, international events, or large-scale temporary venue projects is preferred. Strong knowledge of site logistics, contractor management, and health and safety requirements. Knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards. Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours during event operations.<br>Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.<br>Additional Requirements Currently based in Qatar with a valid Residence Permit (QID).
