Perform preventive maintenance according to the established maintenance schedule. Attend to maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly, particularly those affecting guest rooms and guest areas. Carry out basic electrical repairs, including lighting, switches, sockets, and other electrical fixtures. Perform basic plumbing repairs, including leaking taps, pipes, toilets, drains, and other plumbing fixtures. Conduct basic HVAC inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance where required. Undertake minor carpentry, painting, tiling, and general building repairs. Inspect equipment, machinery, fixtures, and facilities and report any defects or potential problems. Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to the required quality standards. Follow all health, safety, environmental, and property procedures. Maintain proper records of completed maintenance work and report outstanding issues to the supervisor. Respond to emergency maintenance situations and breakdowns as required. Coordinate with other engineering team members and departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintain tools, equipment, and the engineering workshop in a clean and organized condition. Ensure spare parts and materials are used responsibly and report replenishment requirements. Support energy and water conservation initiatives across the property. Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.<br><br>Required Qualifications & Experience<br><br>Technical qualification or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field. Previous experience in a multi-technician, maintenance, engineering, or similar role. Previous hotel, resort, residential, or commercial property experience is preferred. Good practical knowledge of general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and plumbing systems. Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems. Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment safely. Good understanding of health and safety procedures.<br><br>Key Competencies<br><br>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults. Repair batteries, motors, controllers, brakes, steering, suspension, and lighting systems. Conduct routine inspections and safety checks. Replace defective parts and components. Maintain charging systems and battery health. Keep maintenance records and service reports updated. Ensure vehicles are clean, operational, and available for daily use. Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
