Welder must have minimum experience of 1/2" to 12" CS/SS pipe welding with qualified / WPs. Trade test certificate required.</p><p>Must be able to expertly weld stainless steel and carbon steel. Must be able to read blue prints to perform welding and fit-up responsibilities. Quality work is an absolute must. Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision. Must be oriented and capable of meeting daily goals for production. Meet critical ship window to assure company production goals are met. Must do all of the above safely and responsibly. Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle. Performs all fillet and groove welds in the flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes. Positions and clamps work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures. May fit up pipe, flanges, long seams, etc. with minimal supervision Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material. Tacks assemblies together. Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter. Cleans or de-greases parts. Performs all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding. Be able to move parts in and move finished product out of welding area. Set up electric and acetylene welding equipment. Perform conventional welding with vertical down cellulose root and vertical up Low Hi to achieve required low temperature impact properties. Perform brazing, hard facing, cutting, and welding of various structures and other metal items as per drawing specifications. Draws outline and fabricate metal part and member following given condition. Ensure all welded joints are in conformance with the quality specifications, codes and standards. Handles fusing of metal parts for the repair and maintenance of equipment using either electric or acetylene. Comply with the Safety rules and regulations during the execution of works.
