<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <ul> <li>Responsible for oversight, coordination, assurance, and stakeholder management, for all dredging logistics activities, ensuring timely mobilization of vessels, personnel, materials, and equipment while coordinating with contractors, port authorities, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirement.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Marine Operations Coordination: Oversee the logistical movement and positioning of dredging vessels and support craft within designated dredging and reclamation zones.</li> <li>Liaise with RLIC port authorities, marine traffic control, and terminal operations regarding vessel movements ensuring marine access, navigation permits and operational clearances.</li> <li>Support the contractor in securing required permits, customs clearances, and import/export approvals.</li> <li>Review logistics-related progress reports and identify potential schedule impacts.</li> <li>Ensure logistics activities comply with local regulations, environmental requirements, and project procedures.</li> <li>Verify contractor compliance with contractual logistics obligations.</li> <li>Operational Follow-up: Monitor the daily logistics flow of the Contractor's team, identifying potential bottlenecks in both marine traffic and land-based transport.</li> <li>Reporting & Compliance: Ensure all movements (vessels and heavy machinery) adhere to safety standards and environmental permits required for dredging and reclamation projects.</li> <li>Ensure Contractor's timely development and effective implementation of Project Unloading, Transportation and Logistics Systems, Procedures, and Detailed schedules.</li> <li>Closely monitor and audit contractor's relevant implementation plan.</li> <li>Resolve logistics interface issues that may affect construction or dredging operations</li> <li>Coordinate closely with Port authorities in Doha and RLC for regulations, procedures and working schedule details.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Diploma in either Supply Chain Management, Marine Transportation, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Marine) or related field.</li> <li>8 years of logistics experience, preferably in Dredging, Marine Construction, or Oil & Gas marine logistics.</li> <li>Familiarity with Marine permits and port clearances, international shipping, Vessel movements, equipment mobilization and demobilization customs rules, and relevant vessel certifications.</li> <li>Experience in coordination of Dredging contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.</li> <li>Experience of RLIC Port or in Middle East region will be added Advantage</li> <li>Fluent in written and oral English.</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational, coordination and planning skills.</li> <li>Good mediation skills include conflict resolution, problem-solving, creative thinking, influencing and empathy.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software programs, etc.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Salary:<ul> <li>Day Rate in USD Plus Allowance</li> </ul></li> <li>Work Schedule:<ul> <li>10 Hours / 6 Days</li> </ul></li> </ul> <ul> <li>Duration: <ul> <li>36 Months, with possible extension</li> </ul> </li> <li>Location: <ul> <li>Qatar</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div>
