The Structures Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction activities related to base structures at Al Udeid Air Base. This role ensures all structural work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable U. S. Air Force, DoD, host nation, and industry standards. The supervisor leads skilled trades personnel and coordinates with engineering, safety, and operations teams to maintain mission-ready facilities.<br><br>Essential Job Functions<br><br>Supervise daily operations of structures maintenance and repair teams, including carpenters, masons, welders, and general maintenance personnel Plan, assign, and inspect work involving buildings, roofs, doors, windows, hangars, shelters, concrete, and other structural components Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality control standards Conduct inspections and assessments of facilities to identify structural deficiencies and corrective actions Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and project management teams on repairs, renovations, and new construction projects Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, materials, and labor hours Train and mentor personnel on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use Manage tools, equipment, and materials to ensure availability and serviceability Support emergency response and urgent repair operations as required to sustain base operations Enforce adherence to Air Force Instructions (AFIs), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and contract requirements<br><br>Education & Experience<br><br>High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred) Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in structural maintenance, construction, or facilities management At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience Strong knowledge of structural systems, construction methods, and building materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications Proficiency in maintenance management systems or work order software<br><br>Additional Requirements<br><br>Must possess a valid U. This role ensures all hotel disbursements, supplier payments, local tax compliance (QFC/Qatar Tax regulations), and internal financial controls adhere to Kempinski’s corporate financial policies and local statutory regulations.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Operational Accounts Payable Management<br><br>Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, from invoice matching (Three-Way Match: PO, Receiving Log, Invoice) to payment execution. Verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, correct general ledger coding, and cost center allocations. Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs via corporate banking platforms (wire transfers, cheques, and local transfers). The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site teams, coordinating activities, monitoring quality and progress, and ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.<br>Key Responsibilities Supervise daily construction and interior fit-out activities at the project site. Read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and fit-out drawings. Coordinate with project manager, site management, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
