Construction Supervisor (Mechanical)<br><br>Location: Mesaieed, Qatar<br><br>Sector: Oil & Gas (Midstream / Downstream)<br><br>Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Mechanical) to support the construction, installation, inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning phases of a major Oil & Gas project.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) Formal QA/QC functional training Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas construction projects Proven experience in Static and Rotating Equipment Installation Experience coordinating inspections during Midstream and/or Downstream facility construction of Oil and Gas Mandatory experience as an EPIC Contractor Supervisor Experience as a Client or PMC Supervisor preferred Strong knowledge of international standards and specifications including ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NFPA, Shell DEP and related industry codes Experience with FAT, equipment alignment, inspection activities, pressure testing, punch list management, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning Extensive knowledge of coating systems including painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation and related preservation requirements Experience working in Greenfield and Brownfield environments Strong understanding of PTW, LOTO, tie-ins to live facilities, construction testing and commissioning interfaces Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, mechanical drawings and manufacturer documentation. <br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Supervise static and rotating equipment installation activities Coordinate inspections, RFIs and testing activities Monitor contractor compliance with approved procedures, specifications and project requirements Support mechanical completion, punch close-out and pre-commissioning activities Interface with QA/QC, HSE, vendors and project stakeholders to ensure safe and quality execution of work. <br><br>Interested candidates are encouraged to apply directly or send their CV to mahirah.marisa@airswift.com<br><br>Referrals are welcome too—feel free to share this opportunity with qualified professionals in your network. **Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>* Supervise the EPIC Contractors during the execution of construction activities at construction site.* Participate in reviewing detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions, and etc.<br>* Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including inspections, material submissions and working drawings from contractors, and processing documentation as required.</p><br><br><p>* Supervise Fiber Optic cable installation and splicing works.* Supervise installation of Fire Alarm Control Panels, Repeater Panels and Mimic Panels.<br>* Supervise installation of Control junction boxes and Panels.* Good knowledge in reading and understanding Equipment Layout drawings.<br>* Overall coordination with Mechanical works, HVAC works, Fire alarm &amp; Loss prevention system works, Building Services works and etc.* Cable termination and Loop checking.<br>* Co-ordinate pre-commissioning activities and assist during commissioning of facilities.* Initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC), Hand Over Certificate (HOC), Acceptance Certificate (AC), and facilitate the issuance of Project Completion &amp; Discharge Certificates.<br>* Witness SAT pre commissioning activities for equipment.* Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special comments.<br>* Reports to supervisor work anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions.* Sign work permits on behalf of Company and to ensure that contractor's compliance with work permits.<br>* Participate in development of as-built drawings/documentation.* Prepare Punch list for finished work prior to hand over to Company by contractor by paying special attention to all ELV equipment including Quality checks.<br>* Works closely with other Company Construction Supervisors (Mech / Elect).* Report to Company Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement.<br>* Accountable for supervising contractor's work that is in progress, inspecting work, reporting problems and preventing accidents occurring as a result of negligence, by enforcing Company safety standards on the work site.* Liaise and report with the QC Inspector on quality related matters.<br>* Liaise with the HSE Supervisor on safety related matters.* Inspect construction works and materials in accordance with project quality plans and inspection &amp; test plans (ITPs).<br>* Co-ordinate with concerned and End User parties to resolve site issues and refer technical queries to senior construction supervisor and project engineer.* Review contractors' construction plans and schedules including method statements and JSAs.</p><br><br><ul> <li>Candidate must possess a Degree from recognized University or Diploma in Instrumentation or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with extensive construction related experience.</li> <li>Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.
