Provide administrative assistance to the Senior Manager in his reporting obligations and other functions. Maintain a reliable data entry system accommodated by tasks such as filing hardcopies, scanning, electronic management, filing and processing, archiving and document tracking, inputs the document data into the standard registers whilst ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date. Recording and archiving all hardcopy and softcopy documents, transactions, process, classification, registration, archiving and distribution. Prepare & distribute correspondences, reports, memorandums, reports, schedules and materials for publication, presentation etc. Answer correspondence as directed. Maintain confidential information of office related information. Control drawings, specification, design records, standards, procedures, correspondence, minutes of meetings and supplier documents, etc. Maintaining an appropriate electronic database as backup to a traditional hardcopy archive system for easy storage and access to all internal and external correspondence and data. Proficient in Electronic Documentation Management Software systems. Providing contract and other information to pre and post contract sections which may include general formalities such as holiday forms etc. Providing data entry and word processing services as and when required. Assisting managers in producing various reports, tables and presentation material. Scans letters and documents etc..., and files electronically in the Computer Reference Number sequence. Copies/scans and distributes the required documents, assisting as required. Maintains the documents and drawings in the Document Control section under safe custody without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability. Maintains the files and control logs as required by the section. Carry out all and any other tasks, services, instructions, functions related to his profession and as directed by the Authority or his representative. The Staff shall travel to sites and/or any location as may be necessary in the carrying out of their duties and services or as may be directed by the Authority.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p><strong>Mandatory requirements</strong> University degree from a recognised university in an appropriate field such as Engineering or Business or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes, preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience, and 5 years in Qatar and / or the Gulf region. Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.</p><p><strong>Desirable requirements</strong> Evidence of suitable professional qualification or equivalent is preferable.</p><p><strong>Skills and Competencies</strong> Experienced user of internet based document control systems, e.g. SharePoint, Documentum. Experienced user of MS Office. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects. In-depth knowledge of document procedures. A rounded profile , comfortable with document control processes. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and by their leadership skills lead teams and secure successful deliverables. Leads electrical engineering design and planning activities and ensures EPC contractor develops detailed design in accordance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations. Resolve electrical discipline issues to ensure engineering design addresses MP’s expectations and objectives. Communicate and elevate issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary. Review, evaluate and advise on electrical simulations, optimization, in compliance with design methods, safety factors (for Large Electrical Generation and Distribution System, Large motor drivers, VFDs in both Motoring and Generating modes, combined cycle power generation, HV switchgears, Electrical Integrated Control System (ELICS) and Power management System for Generation, Load sharing and Distribution Control). Review technical aspects of electrical equipment purchase orders with EPC Contractor and vendors in accordance with the roles and responsibilities stated in applicable contract(s) to ensure safe and seamless integration of new electrical equipment into the existing operating facilities (when applicable). Assess discipline plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of project activities and provide data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays. Develop, update and amend design / project philosophies, specifications and procedures ensuring that all references to Electrical Engineering are current and relevant. Monitor and provide guidance to EPC Contractor to ensure key discipline deliverables, progress/milestones are met. Recommend additional technical support where necessary to address gaps. Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide Electrical Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc as necessary. Support commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on Electrical matters.
