Our high level of professionalism and commitment drives continuous research to improve efficiency and sustainability, always in strict compliance with the law and aligned with the highest ethical standards.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>Steel Structure Superintendent leads and coordinates the construction activities of a Steel Structure performed by Subcontractors, with the support of Construction Supervisors, generally assigned by area. He will act mainly at the Subcontractor's interface, leading him to perform his scope of work on budget, schedule and with the required quality and compliance of HSE standards. Steel Structure Superintendent maintains a proper interface with the rest of Disciplines, not only with the Construction ones but also with Engineering and Procurement to solve any matter affecting Steel Structure works at Site. Based on above points, Steel Structure Superintendent is the first responsible for the timely completion of the construction works, ensuring while Project is constructed in strict accordance with approved execution plan. Conflicts or revisions to this plan shall be immediately communicated to the Project team for mutual resolution.<br>Main functions:<br>Review the last revision of IFC drawings, Engineering Instructions and method of statements, along with Steel Structure schedule, to properly supervise the works at Site and ensure that construction activities are done on schedule, quality and cost. Arrange with the Subcontractor the corresponding weekly meetings to validate and consolidate the week ahead activities to be performed. The Steel Structure Superintendent shall keep always updated the weekly plan against the overall Project schedule with full knowledge about the current Workfront. Assist the Planning and Production Control Departments to update the current Steel Structure plan or to develop a new forecast plan revision. Check that the Steel Structure Supervisors are aware about the Subcontractor scope of work and that the daily targets are fixed according with Project schedule. The Steel Structure Superintendent shall distribute the workload between the Supervisors based on the weekly targets. Ensure that the daily production is evaluated by every Steel Structure Supervisor and it is daily loaded in the system. Demand the corresponding clarifications to the Supervisors to avoid discrepancies with Planning Department and ensure the reliability and readiness of the progress declared by the Subcontractor. Evaluate the Steel Structure Supervisor performance, enhancing their skills and abilities. Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Dismiss Steel Structure Supervisors who fail to meet expectations under justified arguments. Check with Steel Structure Supervisors that the adequate Subcontractor manpower is available for each task and the labour force allocated on the job is productively used. Steel Structure Supervisors will know the Steel Structure corporate tools and procedures, and he will use and apply them in the daily work. Report the manpower deployed at Site in a daily basis. Check in advance with Subcontractor that required tools and worksite access (scaffolding, roads, etc.) are available to perform the planned daily activities. Manage the material dispatched to the Subcontractor and ensure its efficient use. Identify proper methods of material handling and preservation to prevent damages or deterioration. Minimize as much as possible the site storages period. Provide on-site coordination with Subcontractor, walk daily all work areas to monitor activities. Validate the FEWOs and contribute with the corresponding information to issue the reliable evidences. If applicable, verify and follow up the compliance and filling of the Work Time Sheets by the Steel Structure Supervisors, demanding full accuracy over the hours required to perform the activity. If applicable, validate and follow up the required Vendor assistance man-hours to minimize them for the contractual ones. In no case, the Vendor technician will cover the function and responsibilities of Supervisors because of their negligence or lack of skill/knowledge. The Steel Structure Superintendent does not have authorization to be engaged in commercial agreements (subcontracts, change orders, work authorizations). However, he should provide the necessary support to Subcontract Department to identify the Subcontractor deficiencies and negligence of its functions. Ensure that Subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contractual scope of work. Undertake actively the discussions, technical queries and site agreements with Engineering / Client to prevent common topics (accessibility, typical, etc.) suffered in previous Projects as to increase production and reduce reworks. Ensure that any red-marked drawing provided by Subcontractor include all changes exactly as it was built. Implement and know the ITPs, and any other TR procedure and make them effective at Site. Steel Structure Superintendent shall follow up the site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. He will promote mock-up and toolbox with Subcontractor, Supervisors and Quality Inspectors before starting up a new construction activity to make sure everybody understands and is aligned with the applicable Project Specifications, Standards and Method of Statements. Prevent making goods by the corresponding checkpoints inspections conducted by the QC/Supervisors and demand to the Supervisor team his ownership on this issue. As a maximum responsible at Site in his Discipline, he shall keep clean and organize the unit/work area in compliance with HSE and good practices. He will be proactively involved in the HSE programs and campaigns to create a HSE culture in his Subcontractor and Supervisor team. Coordinate and focus the work towards the Mechanical Completion of the plant in line with the PMCs and the commissioning priorities, once agreed with the Construction Manager. Supervise the close out of the Steel Structure punches by Subcontractor during the handover stage. Encourage the Supervisors to collect and report the LL during the Project execution for him to load them in the corporate LL application.<br>Requirements:<br>Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of construction experience, including at least 7-10 years in Steel Structure Supervision or Superintendent roles. Extensive experience in structural steel erection, fabrication, installation, alignment, and bolting activities. Experience on EPC projects within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or Industrial Construction sectors. Experience supervising subcontractors, construction supervisors, and multidisciplinary site teams. Ability to coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Quality, Commissioning, and Client representatives. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work in multicultural environments and manage multiple priorities under tight project schedules. Fluent in English.
