<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span></span><p>The Instrument Engineer is responsible for executing and supervising instrument maintenance, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities within Oil &amp; Gas facilities. The role ensures the reliability and performance of field instrumentation, process control systems, and associated equipment while maintaining compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.<br></p><br>Responsibilities<br><ul><li>Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation systems.<br></li><li>Execute instrument loop checking, loop testing, functional testing, and commissioning activities.<br></li><li>Perform installation, inspection, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of field instruments.<br></li><li>Carry out hook-up works for pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.<br></li><li>Calibrate and maintain transmitters, switches, gauges, analyzers, control valves, and valve positioners.<br></li><li>Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, and smart instrumentation systems.<br></li><li>Read and interpret P&amp;IDs, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.<br></li><li>Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction teams during shutdowns and project execution.<br></li><li>Ensure all calibration activities comply with project specifications and quality requirements.<br></li><li>Maintain accurate calibration records, maintenance reports, and technical documentation.<br></li><li>Comply with PTW, LOTO, and HSE procedures at all times.<br></li><li>Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.<br></li></ul><br><span>RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical &amp; Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.<br>Minimum <b>10 years of experience</b> in the Oil &amp; Gas industry.<br>Hands-on experience in instrument loop testing, hook-up works, calibration of instruments, and control valves.<br>Strong knowledge of transmitters, switches, analyzers, control valves, field instruments, and process control systems.<br>Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation systems.<br>Ability to interpret P&amp;IDs, loop diagrams, and technical drawings.<br>Familiarity with HART communicators and calibration equipment is preferred.<br>Knowledge of PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements within Oil &amp; Gas facilities.<br>Experience in shutdown and turnaround activities is an advantage.<br></span><br> </div>

Inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Operate power lift. Complete the life safety checklist, including the fire-pump run test and generator run test. Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems. Assist in development of disaster response protocols. Respond and attend to guest repair requests.<br>Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
