The Government Relations Office reports to the Director of People & Culture.<br><br>As Government Relations Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:<br><br>Be up to date regarding any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws/rule / regulations, changes in forms/formats and other procedures and keep the Human Resources Department advised of such changes. Process all types of visas including employment visas, residence visas for colleagues as well as business and other visas for guests / entertainers or other hotel requirements Advising on any visa restrictions that may apply and updating the management on same. Process the medical check, occupational health cards and Qatar ID. Assist Colleagues in renewing visas for their immediate dependents whenever needed. Ensure that E-Contracts are attested for all new joiners. Submit relevant documents periodically to Immigration or the Labour office with regard to cancelled / absconding colleagues and delete from the hotel’s sponsorship list. Ensure that all documents are scanned and properly filed on the hotel data base. Update the Recruitment plan as Visas are applied for and received. Send out notifications to the concerned departments to prepare the required documents to renew hotel licenses. Role Objective:The job holder will support the International Compliance & AML team and collaborate with Compliance teams across overseas branches to promote adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, laws, and internal policies and procedures in Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, and India. The incumbent will assist in coordinating compliance and AML/CFT inspections, monitoring the implementation of corrective actions, and supporting the timely preparation, review, and submission of required regulatory and management reports. The role will contribute to identifying and escalating compliance issues, breaches, and recurring observations in line with approved inspection plans and regulatory expectations. The job holder will also support the administration and execution of the Bank’s Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT), and Sanctions programs, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and applicable laws governing the Bank’s overseas operations.<br>Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:OPERATIONALInternational Compliance Support in formulation and implementation of Compliance and AML/CFT inspection plans and compliance programs for the overseas branches with proper tracking and escalations where required.
